Was pushed to make a post here about this in its entirety. So, here goes.

Next Sunday, April 18th, 2010 at 8:30pm EST, Blackmarsh will be hosting its Harvest Festival. The tavern will be in full swing, and we'll have a bunch of different events and such going on at each time. The main events are the Archery Contest and the 2v2 tournament, which have their own set of rules at the bottom of this post.

As far as other things going on, we're going to have a dunk tank, a meat-and-milk giveaway, raffles, checker tables, chess tables, a dice table, and more. If you'd like to set up a booth for yourself, your guild, your family dog, whatever, hit me up in ICQ and we can arrange this. I have two spots left.

The archery tournament will be held on the roof of the arena, and the 2v2 tournament will be held in another location, to be announced at the start of the event.

For the Blackmarsh Harvest Festival, there are two competitions going on. One is the 2v2 tournament, the other is the Archery tournament. The rules are listed below.

Two versus Two Tournament
• No stealthing
  
• No tamers
  
• Potions allowed
  
• No pets, other than mounts
  - No hiryus
  
• Summons allowed
  
• Open field combat
  
• These spells have been disallowed:
  - Poison Field
  - Energy Field
  - Fire Field
  - Paralyze Field

Archery Tournament:

• Two archers take turns shooting at an archery butte
  
• First to bullseye wins
  
• Tie determined by result of next shot

You can sign up now if you want, but brackets won't be made until the night of the event.

Schedule:

8:30-9:00pm EST: Tavern is open.

9:00-9:30pm EST: Festival grounds are open with the following events:
Kissing booth
Dice rolling
Dunk booth

9:30-10:00pm EST: Archery tournament. Kissing booth closes.

10:00pm EST: Tavern reopens while the Tournament Arena is set up

10:15pm EST: Escort crowd to the tournament grounds

10:30pm EST: 2v2 Tournament commences

Glad to hear it went well. Wish I could have attended, but alas my attention has been on the Rares Festival. Glad to hear it went well and thank you for doing something for the community. I'd love to see some screenshots of it.

Honestly, my favorite moment was D'thal throwing a dagger at a target to try to dunk Cal Hurst. I was LOLing for real.
