I am a returned vet, looking for a new avenue of game-play in UO.. My main toon is Zora La Rousse. I am looking for an rp guild that can teach me rp and also who likes to pvp.. I am very rusty and need work but I am looking forward to it. I would love to be pointed in the right direction.

If your into evil Roleplay with heavy PvP and PvM look no further then The Order of the Ebon Skull and the city of Umbra! We boast impressive weekly events that range from RP-Lore classes to PvP and PvM runs, as well as a dedicated and large memberbase of pure role-players, role playing pvpers and crafters.

For a more neutral experience I suggest The Blackmarsh Empire!

And if your one of those annoying goodie-goodies...The Order of Sanctus!

All three mentioned guilds have excellent player-run towns and good programs for new rpers and UOers, and one of them is mine, so I had to make a shameless plug.

There are also a great variety of other guilds that may harken to your specific rp tastes...Ninjas, werewolves, merchants, assassins, drow, Monarchies, Mages...whatever the need Atlantic has the breed!

I'll throw in some info for Blackmarsh here.

HALLO! Blackmarsh resides in Felucca, and our empire spans almost the entire top half of the mainland. We're also in the True Britannians faction. Blackmarsh is a bit of a farming town, where we have cow milkers, butter churners, and bow fletchers about doing their work. We have a very strong RP backing, which is what you said you were looking for. There is RP in Blackmarsh on a nightly basis, and we have a lot of fun. We also have a couple intraguild plots going on right now that you might enjoy. As Darrien said, we are a neutral guild, so we get along with pretty much everyone right now, although we keep a closer eye on some other guilds.

As far as PvP goes, we are very strong there as well. While we don't REQUIRE our members PvP, if you are interested in (re)learning, we have some HIGHLY experienced people who can help you out. A number of our members actively participate in factions when there is nothing going on to keep their PvP skills sharpened. Also, the faction artifacts help, especially if you don't have the time/money to be building suits.

This community is very fun, the rp gets addicting, and there are many solid choices of groups to join here.
Darrien already mentioned three.. REALLY good ones..
I guess, I'd suggest going through the forums of guilds that have ones on here.. And then theres your Tokunan guilds (Blue Lotus and Army of the Iron Lotus). It all depends on what kind of rp you're looking for. Soon this thread will be full of people advertising their guilds..
