If you like, to keep it all honest, I could volunteer Tati to make the armor on DAY OF. That would make all armor the same, same skill set. Also, others could hawk meat pies, baked goods, maybe even jin-bori (the vest thingys) in the color of their favorite gladiator. Add some pagentry to the events.

I see great potential for RP in the slave trade and all in this...I would maybe even permakill my slain gladiators via name change too...

Because I'm awesome.
And Shylock I like some of those ideas. I'd like the gladiators to have their own armor and weapons..but to mix things up, we could do that bag thing one month..and I like the idea of just having a Dragon in the middle and the gladiators have to either work together to kill it before killing eachother or kill eachother while killing it etc..

I would say that it depends on two things: the tastes of the community at the time, and implementation, emphasis on the latter. Good concept that needs implemented perfectly to be stay fun for a long time, IMO.
Having that said, I might be interested in participating, who knows. I'll wait for a final set of rules and regulations before I am sold on it or not. |

I am very intrested in this idea already have a charater in mind. but I would like to have some rp freedom with him not just for the fighting. Waiting for the rules to be published so I can start his training. |

One thing i would like to suggest is not all gladiators where slaves. the games always had freed champions and such. I think it could be fun to have say a 2 or 3 man slave group face off against say a slightly more geared character say as the final event. Great idea's all around. |
