LOL. That is cute. But it makes me miss my hamster. My rat got into her cage and ate her head. *sniffles* _________________ Malorn ‎(12:14 AM):

THAT IS ****ING ADORABLE. I've had rats for years, the two I have right now are starting to get a little old and getting some tumors, but they still seem to be doing okay. Best. Pets. Ever. I really don't understand why so many people think rats are gross. Even sewer rats are cute, c'mon. |

Because they have fugly tails, and theres that whole blaming rats on the plague when it was the fleas that the rats were carrying. With that said, I miss my pets rats. They are actually really great pets. _________________

Rats are great. They are sociable, very sweet, cuddly, and adorable. I love rats. |

If the humans of that time had bathed more often, and didn't toss garbage around on the crowded towns they lived in, the disease might not have thrived anyways...just sayin'
And I LOOOOOOOVE rattie tails. I adored when my rat boys sat on my shoulder and curled their tails around my hand or finger while I pet them. Rats are so smart, and social, and loving, people comparing per rats to wild ones is like says a poodle is the same as a wolf. I used to run a small animal rescue, and mainly cared for abandoned ratties. I have a special place in my heart for them. I even wrote this poem recently... *wicked grin*
Plastic, cardboard, metal, stone
Grind away, cut deep, chew, chew, chew
Built by man, or birthed by nature
All fall 'neath my ivory blades
Sniff, scratch, dig, chew, chew, chew
Hungry babies, empty bellies, a colony in need
No barrier can defend that which we desire
Instinct drives us, the scent, the taste, the goal
Squeak, dig, sniff, chew, chew, chew
Duty, hunger, the good of the colony
Hated creatures, we are
Dirty, diseased, repulsive you say
Fear us, you do, learn from us, you can
You watch your human brothers and sisters starve
We nurture and feed our young
You toil for the sake of greed and status
We work for the good of our colony
We defend our boundaries, drive out danger
For the good of our community
For the good of our family
Fear us, you do, learn from us, you can
Humanity is your colony
Your community
Your family
Feed them, nurture them
Love then, care for them, and defend them
And remember
This final lesson you must never forget
Always
Yes, always
Eat your dead
Chew, chew, chew |

Nice poem, Sol, thanks for sharing it.
I have never had a pet rat so I can't comment on them.
However, hamsters seem to be nasty vicious little rodents. My sister had one, it ate all of its young. I dunno though, maybe hers was just insane? I've read it happens a lot. |

:/ My cats growing up never did. I'm a little worried by your pet experience.. sounds like a lot of cannibalism. |

Makes you wonder if her siblings learned to sleep lightly.
"Cam, go get your brother up for school."
*tromp tromp tromp*
"Ma! Jimmy's dead!" *nom nom nom*
"OW! Hey!"
"Oh." *shrug* "Morning!" _________________
