No artifacts and pre-pub 16? Yes I'd make an alt and join the inevitable transfer of Europa/kinder sized shard RPers to the classic shard.

Yes.

Any world where I cannot kill someone in full armor with a butcher's cleaver dyed Luna-White is not a world I want to be a part of.

Have fun, I'm staying here. I didn't like having to start over from scratch again. Call me spoiled. Besides, uhm... hello give up my halloween candy collection, not a chance in hell.

You might think I am kidding about this but I most certainly am not. Evil or Very Mad

If by start over, you mean never having to worry about gear ever again, and only having to work skills up to 100 (which would still be easy), then I agree! Pre-pub16 would be the way to go for me. I'd play in a heartbeat.

Have fun. I went to Siege a while ago and I was almost as frustrated trying to survive there than when they took 3D away from me.

Siege =/= Classic. Completely different ideas and rulesets.

Honestly, I think it sounds interesting. I'm a noob, so I think it would be fun to try. I've only been playing since '05, they already had the Tok expansion then.

I don't see the thrill of worrying when I go hunting that a pk will come and basically take everything. Heck, fighting a Balron in GM armor with only GM skill. Shocked

EXACTLY! You can't do it. So you need to work as a team to bring monsters like that down, and the rewards from it are great. And the thrill of a PK killing you is one thing. But a PK who is red, and if he dies, loses 20% of his skills PERMANENTLY? Now that's some good stuff right there.

As long as the RP was good, whatever.

Even post AoS the Stomreaver Orcs basically ran around in GM armor as if we were still living in classic shard days. At least until a few whined their way into arties and then used that 1v1 advantage to be dickholes and declare themselves "mojo". Twinks more like, but I digress.

Whatever the situation, if ze plots are still fun and the spontaneous RP is up and about, I don't care about the ruleset. For me it's about the storytelling. Not how amazing my char is. And being hunted by reds ain't so bad. That's what ICQ calling is for.

Pre-pub 16, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I would be on that shard like rubbish on velcro.

If they made it and enough people went over, I'd reactivate my account in a heartbeat. I hate all the garbage in UO nowadays, I still never even took the time to understand half of it. The gameplay is so broken, but I mostly only played for RP anyway. But even if this new shard doesn't happen, I may come back sooner or later, just busy finishing my last semester in college.
