That's is pretty awesome. I think Microsoft was/is making something similar. They showed it off at E3. These sorts of things will have to hit the homes of any RPer, RTSer or board gamer. Will be incredible. Great video.

As a pen and paper current player: It sucks.

I have a few reasons why.

Number 1)

I make miniatures. I build them, I paint them.

I play video games, I want my pen and paper to be pen and paper and minis and paint and all that. I'm old school.

2) Learning the rules learing to roll, when to roll, what to roll how to do stuff is part of the game. My 11 year old son learned to read at a very high level bacause at 6 he wanted to play DnD. I made him learn to read the rules and how to do all the basics, all the rules of playing before I'd let him. He's now an advanced reader and has a love of books. Having the automated table/surface do it for you is LAZY.

3) It's prolly insane expensive, and I doubt the have a beer/soda/cheetoes resistant version.
