Takumi sat at the rock garden deep in meditation, breathing in slow, evenly and deeply with slow evenly breaths he would breath out he began to relax a few minutes past he breathes began to have a rhythmic nature about them. he began slowly clear his mind of all the tensions a peacefulness began to over take his mind at first then soon his whole being was calm,peaceful,serene. he stood there in meditation for a hour or so as he did every morning "today was different" he thought to himself.

with mind cleared Takumi walked into the bedroom and leaned against the wall just smiling as he saw them sleeping. he knew eventually he would have to tell Edda of his decision but for now he would let her sleep. he sat at the edge of the bed and pulled out his blades and lay them down, pulling a piece of linen from his pack he carefully began to wipe his leafblade clean. once the weapons were properly wiped clean he carefully placed them in their display case and whisper softly "wont be needing you for awhile" he closed the glass lid and began to remove his armor when he looked over to see Edda waking from her sleep...

She woke up and stretched, looking around the room. Spotting Tak, a smile spread across her face. It wasn't unusual for her to wake up to him already up and about, doing things around the house, so it took a few minutes for her to realize something was off. It wasn't until she noticed that he was putting his gear away, instead of taking it out to put it on, that her smile faded.
Pushing herself off the pillow, she crawled across the bed and sat next to him, just watching him with curiosity, at first. Finally she quietly said his name to get his attention. When he looked at her she asked him what he was doing.

Takumi finished put his gear away and turner to look at edda. "i have some things i need to tell you" he said quietly. I have thought about this a long time it was not a easy decision but i feel it is the right choice for now. he took her hand and began telling her his thoughts of the past few months.... i have been through war before and you know of my past i let war consume me before i cant ... no i wont let that happen again, my duty is to my family, shinto is young he does not yet understand of war and duty. pausing a moment he walked over to shinto's bed where he was still asleep, with all that's happening now i want to focus on family, you are a elder in the clan it would be wrong for me to ask you to turn your back on the clan and not go into battle. turning back towards edda, takumi looked down a moment then spoke that is why i have decided to step down from the clan and attend to my duties as a father and husband.
