I'm not sure if this was supposed to be praising the game or making fun of it, but I'll assume you're praising it because honest to God, this might very well be the best game I have ever played in my entire life. I'm not exaggerating in the slightest. I am completely blown away by this game. I expected a lot from this game, and my expectations have been exceeded more than they ever have before. I feel like I'm being introduced to video games all over again, being awed like how I was with Super Mario 64 (not that they're alike or anything, but you know what I mean).

I want to go on and on about this game, but I'd rather play it, and not spoil anything for anyone. Let me just say that the first 30 minutes or so is one of the greatest beginnings to a game/move/whatever EVER. And that is FACT.... well I guess it's opinion, but I'm serious. It's THAT good. It's so intense.

This is easily one of the best games of this current generation of consoles, and my personal favorite. I can only imagine how incredible ME3 will be. Bioware never fails to deliver.

Wait, you never played the first one? That's like... a sin. The first one is fantastic, and of course the second improves on almost everything in so many ways (there are less RPG elements and customization options in ME1 but I don't care really, oh and no vehicle exploration missions), but you're not going to get the full, great experience in the second one if you haven't played the first. All of your decisions, big and small alike, affect the story and everything in ME2, in big ways. It's the most incredible personal experience I've ever come across. I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend you (and everyone else interested!) go back and play through the first one first, and then import your file into ME2. The changes are clear as day, and you really feel like you're in control of everything and all your actions have real consequences. Even the small decisions you make are seriously sweet. Nothing is forgotten.

Also, I don't even really see how you can play the second without playing the first. You're missing all the story... and there's a lot of it in ME1. It can't be summarized! But just know this is just my advice, and many others! Do as you please! Smile

I will take your suggestions my good sir. First I will beat the game then I will get Mass Effect 1 and beat it and re-beat 2 with the carry over so see those differences in the game play out.

Awesome. Oh, and just as a warning, ME1 didn't run as smoothly as ME2 does. The framerate isn't the best at at times, and textures sometimes take awhile to pop in. And combat probably won't seem as fun, but I still enjoyed it. However, while the gameplay has improved for ME2, it's still a great experience---the story, the dialogue, the characters, everything. There's a lot more customization in the first as well, such as all kinds of armor and weapons for both you and your party members, and a lot more specialization points. There's also a vehicle you can drive around in on a lot of missions as well as side missions, exploring planets.

Once again, it's a great game, one of my top 5 games of all time, but obviously ME2 did what it could to improve upon technical and gameplay issues and whatnot.

The shark in the space suit with a Space Assault Riffle looks like my favorite character. Sadly I will be playing a FAR superior franchise expansion soon.

ALIENS VERSUS PREDATOR!!

Just beat it. Amazing game. I played through ME1 twice, one just playing naturally (ended up about 2/3 paragon, 1/3 renegade), and again pure renegade. I'll have to import my renegade save and play through again a few weeks down the road.

Just picked it up today and imported my renegade from ME1. Kind of dark, dunno if it's because of the renegade thing or just how the game starts but still epic so far.
