I stood in the center of forest as i watched the flames climb the trees as if they were orchestrating some sort of ballet for my entertainment. Smiling as tree after tree began to burst into flames i was in complete bliss, others might of panicked at the sight not me i was truly enjoying the show. I pulled out my mortar and pestle and some roots i had gathered the night before, as i began grinding and mixing it began to transform into a semi transparent liquid. i took a bottle from my pack and carefully poured the substance into the bottle. "now to find a test subject" i thought to myself.

Returning home i pulled out some parchments i had collected over the years in my wanderings, a smile came across my face as i found the perfect place to find my next test subject.I moved upstairs to gather my things my various recipes and samples i had gathered in the days i had been there. taking a quick glance around i left only turning a moment as i launched a glass bottle towards a pile of crates i turned slowly and walked away as the house soon burst into flames i continued walking until i reached the docks. night was already beginning to settle in as i boarded a nearby ship heading to the north. I stood mostly below deck for the majority of the trip, it was not uncommon to the have a few stowaways in these parts so there was not much in the way of trouble. sometimes i would be lost in thought when i would notice someone nearing me, i simply would duck behind a crate or a net until they passed. a few days passed and soon i could see land again i was happy me and water never got along much but it was the only way back to the main land.

The ship finally made it to the mainland. i headed into town to find a place to rest, it found a nice spot of tall grass behind what appeared to be the inn i sat down and closed my eyes. i awoke to whispers in the nearby ally, i walked slowly making sure to stick to the shadows, i did not wanna be seen. i failed to make out the whole conversation but the part i did hear caught my attention, it seems the two individuals had stumbled upon a plot of land far to the east of the desert, they talked of a hidden stash of fortunes. i cringed at the thought of letting a opportunity like this escape my grasp. i let them finish and when they parted ways i quickly stood into my role as a helpless stranger in a new city, the man nearest to me was younger i knew her would fall for the trap. i fed him a story of being mugged and left for dead and like most the saps these days he fell for every word. i let him believe it was his idea i stay with him until i was stronger. that evening we were alone and i set my plan into motion.

He was sure to be the perfect test subject........
