Blackmarsh had become much more than a simple village. Buildings that had once been built with simple materials, now stood tall and glorious. Lamp posts and torches lit the grass streets of the now prosperous town. Ever since Blackmarsh had been given a Mayor, Denzin Bracken, the town and it's citizens had seen a ten fold increase in gold earnings. Tradesmen flocked in each and everyday. Citizens were given homes on the outskirts of the town, and given jobs tending to the buildings used for Blackmarsh purposes. Soldiers and guards hurried back and forth on their trading routes and patrols.

On the highest level of the Blackmarsh barracks, Denzin Bracken stood tall, his shoulders pressed back in a military fashion, his chin held high allowing him to breath the fresh air clearly. He interlocked his fingers, holding them comfortably behind him. The breeze gently lifted his cloak, flapping it weakly in the wind. The diamonds that covered his accessories glistened from the beaming light of the setting sun. His clothes, made from the finest clothe -reserved for royalty, another sign of the mans wealth-, had not one speck of dirt on them. They covered his six-foot tall, slim frame. From there, he could over look the City and surrounding land. His lips curled into a smile, for he knew that as far as his thirty-five year old eye could see, Blackmarsh protected. They had given their protection, guidance, and shared their prosperous business with the surrounding area.

He could hear footsteps climbing their way up the stone staircase behind him. Without having to turn, he knew it was Sarian, The High Arcanamach of Blackmarsh. Denzin shifted to the side, allowing a space for his comrade to stand beside him. Sarian took his spot beside the Mayor, placing his hands together in front of him and peering out over the busy little town.

"It has come much further than I had ever expected." Sarian stated.

Denzin nodded his agreement. "Yes, we've put a lot of work into it. Im still gathering people by the week."

"Does that mean we'll see more soldiers from the towns front in up coming battles?" Sarian questioned.

Denzin merely shrugged. "Perhaps. In time, you, Cal and your other elite warriors will join Blackmarsh, instead of working for it. Judging from the recent battle, Blackmarsh proves itself just fine by sending a handful of some of the most elite fighters Sosaria has to offer. Along with those who allie our cause, I see no point in cluttering the battle field with less trained soldiers. I have tasks to keep these soldiers of Blackmarsh busy on the home front. As long as my elite continue their fine efforts, I think we'll be just fine." Denzin smiled brightly towards Sarian.

Sarian smirked and nodded. "Are you aware that Umbra has created an alliance? One formed to protect the City and perhaps in time press out further than the darkened land?"

"I'm aware of this yes. This is because the Wolf King has decided to press their laws across Malas. It's understandable, the place is so...confused. Evil necromancers and undead practicing rituals and their hate for paladins. Virtuous paladins and their glorious hate for necromancers Then Stonegate the neutral healthy balance of Malas. I have already spoken to Cal about this Umbran Alliance. I'm also taking into account how this will effect everyones future."

Denzin stretched his arms behind him then released his grip, swinging his arms out front of him.
"The future brings much change Sarian. Let us be apart of it."
