sitting in the center of the room i sat with a grin upon my face as i meditated on what i know knew, it was a secret worth keeping not even my closest friends would ever find out well if i had any friends that is. the flame before me sat as if dancing to a unheard song the smell of burnt flesh filled the room, i took it all in not realizing that there was a knock at the door. i stood as if nothing was wrong , washed my hands in the nearby sink and turned slowly towards the door. as i approached i saw a tall figure through the window, i smiled knowing who it was and their purpose for disturbing me at such a late hour. opening the door the figure handed me a small package the being at the door must of noticed my excitement as i pulled the small box to my chest as i hugged it i gave the being a token of my appreciation as i closed the door slowly. ah this will be fun i thought to myself as i walked back into my lab



working far into the night i was exhausted but never have i seen such a wonderful contraption before i couldn't wait to test it out. i couldn't wait any longer i packed up the contraption into a small crate and headed toward the the crossroads and set the box out and delicately set the pins on the device to activate at the right time. giggling a little i step back a few feet and hid behind a bush and waited. i must of been there awhile and dozed off, it was daylight already when i awoke to find a lone traveler heading towards me. from the looks of it he was a loner his clothes appeared raggedy and unkempt. he bent down curious at first then as he drew closer he reached out for the box at the slightest touch it activated and the man burst into flames. i couldn't help myself i started to clap as if it was a gift to me to see such flames. it lasted only a few moments in the end i was sad the flames were gone and i remembered back to my experiment on the rats in my lab next time there will be bigger and longer lasting flames i thought to myself as i closed the crate i looked down towards the charred corpse of the traveler, you really should not touch things that don't belong to you i burst out laughing as i headed home.
