There will be lots of fun to be had; a bonfire of course (which will be closely monitored to make sure that particular band of Malas residents doesn't sacrifice someone in the flames) will be blazing and tended.

Hmph. This is why we need to hold our own festivals. You people are RACIST. |
Pssh... she said "someone" Kaelthir... we both know they aren't really people, but food and toys. So obviously she doesn't mean the Order.
((Just kidding, of course Xana)) |
Love you guys bunches.

I'm glad being in love hasn't taken the violent predator aspect away from Dealthagar. His twisted mind makes for fun IC posts <3 |

Being in love, simply means he wants to give his lover gifts.
I'm thinking a boquet of noses. They really smell nice. _________________

I used to throw a Winter Solstice Masque on my old shard every year...I had truly hoped to throw one this year at the theatre, till I figured out it was on a tavern night...So this will make me just as happy. You know that I'm ready, willing, and excited about helping in any way possible! |

Perhaps if people are interested, we can have the bonfire one day of the weekend previous to the Solstice.
Again, due to the holiday season as a whole we'll figure this out as we go and try to encompass people's availability and be respectful of religious observations and social events.
Regardless of one's religious views, the 'Sol Invictus' is certainly reason to celebrate, for Sosarians and earthlings alike. Let's celebrate! _________________ An artist is a creature driven by demons ~Faulkner

Providing the date isn't interfering with anything, we plan to hold the Festival Sunday Dec.20th. More details forthcoming! |

Yes, the 20th!
There will be food, drink, song, and of course FIRE!
And a few other things we have up our frilly sleeves. Especially Arahim. His sleeves are the frilliest. _________________ An artist is a creature driven by demons ~Faulkner

If I understand correctly, the 20th is the only night that the majority of our members can make it...I have no problem with holding it the same night regardless. I don't want anyone thinking that it would be done out of spite or to snub anyone in any way. But the meaning of the celebration is centered around the Solstice, and that's the closest date that we can get everyone together. Even if we can only really draw our own members to the celebration, I see no problem with that. At least our members could all still make it. Our celebration starts an hour after the other...nothing says that some couldn't drop by after they're done at the first party.
I just want to make sure that our celebration can still at least serve our own members. Opinions? Xana? |

Well put Adrian, and thank you.
This event originally started out as something our guild was going to do among ourselves. Someone tossed out the idea of making it open to the public. After posting in this thread, and talking to people through a variety of mediums this is what we came up with.
In no way is any ill-will or upstaging intended here. Simply put, if people don't want to come, that's fine; again, this is something that has considerable meaning for most of the gypsies in their daily, offline lives.
Hopefully with our event being scheduled later than DOA, people divided on what they want to do can do both if they choose.
We sincerely hope there are no negative feelings felt by anybody involved with the scheduling and planning of either event. _________________ An artist is a creature driven by demons ~Faulkner
