Taking another sip from the bottle, Cal stumbled around the city streets of Britain. Looking around through blurred vision, he took a few more steps and bumped into something, which promptly knocked him on his rear end. "EY! Wa'sh where yer goin...!" he yelled at the lamp post, "Ya... talkin' t'yooo... agh..."

Making his way to his feet, he rubbed his head and looked towards the wall of the bank, where a shiny poster had been hung up. Waddling over to it, he read it.

"Myr-a-den... has drawn... a king of stone... at the gates... of... ... Wha'... Sassafrassa... Luna? LUNA!" Cal shouted, extending his arms to his sides with force, the ale flying out of his hand. "LOOONA! Huzzah! Ugh... I need... bed."

Cal flipped through his runebook and recalled to the first rune in his book, which sent him into the Nujel'm Flower Garden. There, he curled up in a bed of tulips, and slept.

With an air of duty, the knight walked amongst the cobble stone streets of the city of magic. He watched as the daily vendors began to set their wares. The morning was calm; air crisp as the days of the harvest season were taking over Britannia. Nothing was out of the norm on this day, save that of a heavily armored man who was frequenting the bank. He quickly pulled a parchment from the bag at his waist, extracting nails and a hammer. Tay's steps quickened as he turned the corner of the magery shop and he approached the mint.

The man worked quickly, the sign was posted and he was quickly gone. Intrigued, Tay stepped forward, pushing through the gathering crowd.

His face began to twist as his jaw tightened. The feelings of rage began to well in the pit of his chest. Snatching the parchment with ferocity, the nails and torn pieces left on the board, he proceeded tighten his grip. The parchment fanned out on either side of his hand. He could feel his face flushing. The crowd turned quickly and proceeded with their activities.

A country cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war.... he echoed in his mind.

This city. Founded on the principles of good and Virtue. This bastion of enlightment is beseiged by the enemy beyond and within....

Turning on the heels of his boot, the heavily armored Tay clung to the hilt of the sword at his side. He marched off, closing his eyes momentarily and whispered, summoning his charger and proceeded quickly down the south road to the moongate.

Duty. Honor. Country

The virtues were threatened. The innocent are beseiged. The King is no more....

The bustle of the trial had been halted, the people waiting while a few important documents were reviewed. Now was the time. It was the perfect place, the perfect medium for the signing of the decree.

She stood in front of those assembled, people from all different clans here to witness a trial about to hear something much greater than a simple trial of a thief. Her words echoed around the room and at last the decree was finished the room paused, the people in stunned silence. A smile to the lips of Stonegate and her Allies.

She turned sharply bringing it to her King and kneeling she held up the inked quill and document. With but a flick of his wrist and a scrawling of pen he had written a new chapter in history.

So it would begin..as destiny demanded.

As Izrem stood before the proclamation, so many questions began to drift through his mind of Stonegates true intentions...

"I wonder how Sanctus feels about a horde of necromancers and assassins being the new guardians of the City of Paladins and Light?" he mused aloud. It indeed was an odd shift to see such a group be the new defenders of righteousness. Too good to be true for the scions of the virtues, Izrem imagined.

As his eyes drifted down the announcement they came to rest on the protection of the Luna moongates. "Do any of the Order that they know of even use moongates to get around anymore?" Izrem sifted through the various faces and personalities that he knew existed amongst the servants of Oblivion and nearly all were accomplished mages or so loaded down with their own runebooks that they needed a seperate bag to carry them. Indeed most of the present Umbrans scorned the moongates as a hopelessly pedestrian way of getting around.

As Izrem continued to look over the proclamation the natural paranoia of his people began to creep into his mind. He couldn't be lead to believe that the Wolf King or their seer were truly so blind or unaware of the Orders tendencies as to believe that this act accomplished anything in regards to the defense of the city. No... they were up to something. The two nations mentioned, Stonegate and Blue Lotus were both insular and committed to their own survival, not that of others, with one of them being near hellbent on destroying the chosen of Oblivion. They didn't give a damn about Luna of that Izrem was sure. Then what were they after? Again, though... why protect the moongate? ....the moongate? Of course... that's what it was. Stonegate had no effective access to its own gate with which to touch Umbra. And that perfidious elf, Molly Willow, had signed away her city to the "protection" of an invasion force. Izrem inhaled deeply as he considered such implications.

Waiting for a break in the crowds attention to the postings, Izrem neatly un-pinned the announcement, rolled it up and gently placed it within his satchel. Pulling out one of his runebooks (as, after all, he had many) he incanted the words of recall to return him to his laboratory. Dropping off the missive and collecting his teaching instruments, he turned on his heel and proceeded into Umbra. If he was right, the people needed to be prepared to throw back these vile invaders. And if he was wrong? Well, then present invaders of Luna were utterly insane and/or short-sighted... and Umbra would have a rabid and bellicose population of necromancers and arcanists at their disposal.

Kelly walked the streets of Minoc and saw a small group of townsfolk gathered at the bulletin board. She walked over to see what they were chattering about and saw one of the citizens held parchment, fairly fresh in ink. The man quickly handed it over to her and they all waited for her to finish.

Kelly pulled off her glasses and smiled. She finished reading it and chuckled. "Nothing for us to worry about my fair people of Minoc. Just be aware of the new order should you need to go there. " She put her glasses back on and walked away, decree in hand still.

Once a safe distance, she recalled to her home and let loose a heartfelt laugh. "So the wolves and the lotus have teamed up and are controlling the flock of Luna. " She chuckled as she headed inside. "I must tell Ian of this joyous event."
