... another day older and deeper in debt.

Okay, now that the rhyme is out of the way...

OES is planning to host a small global event in Umbra to try and get some new blood into the rp community.
We will be handing out trick or treat bags and in each bag I plan to put a runebook with a rune to OES and other popular RP locations.

I only have 15 available slots. It'll be a first come, first serve basis and limited to one rune per guild although some exceptions might be made if there is extra space. If you are interested in having your guild included, post a description of the location and your ICQ so that I might contact you if needed for a rune. Please make a post here to start so I can keep track of priority. I wish I could include more than 16.. but I'm already going to be marking 1600 runes to do this and I don't have the patience to add another book to the set.

Those of you who want to mark your OWN 100 copies of the runes to give me... you'd be my hero *grins*

Thank you.

Current Runebook Set-up

1. Umbra [OES]
2. Charnel Hill [OES]
3. Blue Lotus Tea Garden
4. Minoc Gypsy Camp
5. Library/Bookstore
6. Stonegate City
7. Sanctus
8. MTC Guildhouse -pending
9. Tangled Web - pending
10. Spiritwood - pending
11.
12.
13.
14.
15.
16.

I'll help you in any way I can. Maybe I can score a copy of one of your books and run around making books and runes?

Unfortunately the gypsies are wanderers and don't have a home base as much as I'd love to see people interested in us. Any ideas are welcome.

But yeah, I have a pretty powerful mage with sick mana regen. Hit me up lady.

I will give you a hundred runes I would like a spot in the center of Stonegate Valley, the area is almost 100% ours now. So the city would be great in your book.

It is nice that you are doing this, if you wish help with other people's runes let me know.

When are you doing your event?

You have my icq I do believe.

Thanks
Merci

Thank you Xana! If you think of any particular place the gypsies "hang out" we can include that too. I'm hoping it to be a book of rp hot spots for new rpers.

Thanks Merci! The hundred runes for Stonegate would be awesome. Let me know when you want to drop them off and we'll meet up.

The event looks like it will be Wednesday, November 18th in the evening. I'll know by later this week, but we have 4 people (includ myself) who are confirmed to be able to help on Wed and I should be able to run it with that amount of staff. It "should" be pretty low maintanance as far as staffing requirements if all goes well.

I imagine Bish will want BL in on this, I'll ask him and ICQ you. And I'll supply the 100 runes to the teahouse.

I think this is a wonderful idea. Please let me know what I can do to help. =)

I have a GM scribe, a mage, and plenty of free time if you need help with runebooks being made or runes marked.

Still plenty of slots available. If any other guilds would like to be included, please post soon. I'll be opening the available spots soon for participating guilds to add additional rune locations if you want so those who have responded so far, post any additional locations you'd like and we'll take that in order or priority for available spots.

Thanks everyone.

(Noting second location for Umbra should there be available slots)

Alright its been almost a week and so I'm opening up the runes to additional runes from the current participating guilds. Also, keep in mind any rp locations even if it isn't guild related are acceptable such as taverns, theaters, etc. If you lack the time or skill to mark the runes yourself, Tierna or I will do it for you... we just need a rune to the location.

I currently have ten available locations. If I don't get a full set from the community, I'll throw in runes to EM locations and such to pad it to a full runebook.

This is the community's chance to get some new blood and get every guild a chance at getting a new member or two. The bags will have a book about OES, but also a section about the ARPC and directing all people interested to this forum. We will also be dropping these books during the stealth event.

I'd like to thank the four guilds who have showed interest for doing so and I hope other guilds will follow their example.

I'd also like to thank Tierna who has been working hard with me behind the scenes with all the set up as well as those OES members who have volunteered their time to help staff the event.

We want to get all the RP guilds added by the end of today, so we can begin adding the other runes in to fill up the space.
So ICQ me soon as possible about the runes, Dav. I need to know if you are making them or we are supposed to.

I have to say I'm genuinely surprised more guilds and establishments haven't signed up for this...
