So this isn't a thread telling you to get the game, but rather a thread for those of us who do have it or plan to have it...

So here's some questions for you guys:

1) What class(es) are you planning on going?
2) What talents/spells will you pick?
3) What party members will you use most often?
4) Will you get any of the DLC?

For me... I'm going Arcane Warrior. Just unlocked it last night. I've unlocked all fire spells, a heal spell, some of the glyphs. My party consists of Wynn (spirit healer), Leliana (bard), and Alistair (templar). Pretty well rounded party. As for the DLC, I got the Collector's Edition, so I will be getting Shale as well as the Warden's Keep.

Let's see I started as a mage going mostly ice spells just started a thief last night not sure where I going with him. I got the pre-ordered collectors edition so have all the downloadable stuff already. Party members I love my doggy and the witch since she's kinda hot with her 1's and 0's lol 4th slot is a toss up if I feel like being mean I got the funky guy and if nice the first party guy.

I was given a list of specialization class unlockers and where to get them if you're interested.

Answer to all of those, "eventually, all of them." This game seems to have massive replay value with all the different origin stories, classes, races, choices, companions, et cetra. Keep in mind that "replay value" is completely unheard-of for me in regards to single player games; in recent memory, only DA:O and Mass Effect have achieved that feeling... Not that there is any tie between these two games at all. Like their developer, maybe.

First off, let me state that I love love love this game so far. I've played for about 15 hours so far and I've only just completed Lothering. I have a loooooong ways to go and I'm excited about it. I give this game a 9.7/10 so far.

But I made a male Human Noble Warrior. Not sure if I'm gonna have him tank or DPS, but I'm learning towards Berserker and maybe Templar or Champion. I can't decide! I want to do everything. So yeah I'll be doing multiple playthroughs of this game. So glad to finally have a nice RPG again that I can pour dozens of hours into.

Oh, and what system is everyone playing on, just out of curiosity? I'm playing on my 360, but I'd rather be playing on a PC, but sadly I don't have a computer than can handle it. Sad But the 360 is still great, still looks fantastic to me (a lot of people have been complaining saying the 360 version has horrible graphics but I think they're great). But graphics hardly matter much for a game like this... well, to an extent anyway.

I'm on the PC version myself. For you mage types, I uncovered a useful spell combo.

1. Get the glyph spells.
2. Lay one glyph down near a group of enemies.
3. Lay another glyph down ontop of it.
4. The glyphs combine and EXPLODE, paralyzing -everything- in a medium-large AoE.

I maaay have done this by accident, killing my whole party once. But uh. Mm.

Something also fun:

1. Use Frost Shock until the enemy is frozen
2. Unload your most powerful damaging attack.
3. If it is damaging enough, the frozen target will shatter into pieces, regardless of HP.

I'll probably end up getting the PC version because of mods though. You know there will be werewolf mods and how I feel about them...

Just got to the royal city myself, been doin a rouge/thief type (not suprising right?) I have mostly been runnin with the first of the characters i got. So alistor, morrigan (yes cuz she is hot) and the mean guy from out the cage, dont remember his name atm. So rouge, mage, warrior and templar. its worked out well for me so far. How many of you have come across the elf assassin? I dont mean to give anything away if you havent but he is defiantly my favorite character so far. Not cuz of his skills but his demeanor, he is hilarious to hear talk.

I am playing it on the PC but it seems to tax the hell outta my CPU. Thought it was cause my computer aint as good as it used to be but after doin some reading it seems a lot of people are having this problem.

So far I am really enjoying it and would recommend it to any RPG fan. To me there havent been many that touch on this level of detail. Someone mentioned how you start, what class and race you pick affects much of the game. It also seems like where you take what characters also affects a lot. Not suprising to me as it is a biowear game but it really reminds me of old final fantasy games in a lot of regards.

10/10 in my book!

*edit* would totally love to have that list cal. i want to learn assassin type, i got the one where u can summon animals but thats no fun for me.

I started a Elf fighter last night but using her with a bow she seems to do some nice damage even compared to my puny mage and my rogue. Haven't made it out of the first little town after getting Morrigan and the guy int he cage on any of my toons.

Hex of vulnerability causes drain life/mana to be double effective, and alarin tells me the classic grease+fireball is there too. Really neat concept.

Finished the game on my mage/arcane warrior.

Now starting as an elf rogue who hates everything. And the results are hilarious.
