I wrote most of this last post in "Bloodline Balance:A Ledger" at work over the past two days or so. A line here and there, compiled it up and gave it some semblence of shape. One line, which I really liked considering the feel of the post and the rp thats to go with it, bothered me all night.

The "Lady Grinning Skull" bit. I couldn't figure why it stuck with me til a song came on my iPod. (Thats right, I write and listen to my iPod at work) It was the last song on David Bowie's "Alladin Sane" disc, and its called "Lady Grinning Soul." Now even though I didn't -completely- rip that line off of David Bowie, I feel better telling anyone who reads this last piece that I semi-stole it without actually realizing it. Plagiarism sucks.

On a side note, 1970s, glammed out, Ziggy Stardust, David Bowie rules!

I totally agree. Being a child during those years certainly left a mark on me!
However, I don't think this goes as plagiarism. Given Sylvan's dealings with Kaelthir, I think the line is fitting and appropriate.
I do admire you tackling that and getting it off your chest. Maybe I'd feel differently if perhaps you wrote an IC poem or something and used it as Arahim's.

But you didn't. So there.

I was wondering if it was a Kael reference, I might have to steal it sometime because I like it ;O
