Kelly sat on her bone couch staring at the blood pentagram on her lab floor. Her mind mulling over the recent events. Slowly, she stood tall and she walked to the center of the pentagram. She motioned her fingers as she spun slowly, lighting every other candle to generate more shadows. Looking around she closed her eyes and focused upon the darkness.

"Time has come Arakad." She whispered into the shadows before vanishing into them.

She called to his blood, letting it lead her to him. Letting him know he soon had a visitor coming.

Strong winds flew from the abyssal darkness as each candle flame flickered to a dwindling thin line of smoke. In the depths of the darkness two piercing silver eyes drew open to stare at the woman that summoned for him. The man came forth from the abyss metal gloved hands patting at the council of mages blue doublet and quiver, the only signs of color on top of the shadow formed armor. Each brush of a hand over the blue clothing gave puffs of black abyssal powdery remains to fall and dissipate to the floor below.

"Damn stuff gets sticky - wait until you learn how to traverse the Abyss you'll see how bad the shadows like to cling to you." finally turning to face Kelly he gave a low nod. Giving a motion of his hands from waist to chest as tendrils fashion from the darkness around him forming shroud and cowl.
"Lets begin."

Kelly stood and watched the darkness cling to Arakad.
She nodded in agreement as her own shroud dissipated. " I have been in the Abyss on more than one occasion. But that was long ago."

"We have much to learn from each other." She smiled as she watched him.

It has been far too long since I have taught another. Let alone been the student. She thought. This would be a welcome change to her routines. And she had an uncanny comfort around her friend, so teaching and learning should be easy enough for both.

"What is the first lesson?" She stood with her gloved hands folded behind her, rocking on her heels like a curious schoolgirl.

"The First leasson ... Darkness...Origins" As Arakad came to stand near the pentagram upon the floor. "Kindred are Darkness supreme, and you can look for the origin in every shadow that today exists. The fears embedded in human consciousness and culture feed your kind, giving openings to exploit - what you might call "leverage".

The shadow clad meer tipped his hand palm upwards as a small ball of shadowy darkness formed and hovered in the air above his skin. "The oldest and strongest emotion is fear. And the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown. When you begin to loom out of the shadows that obey your every command, demonstrating the ability to shatter your still human body - yes m'dear a kindred body is still human, an unfortunate side effect. You will be able to overwhelm the human minds around you, and you will act not just with your force but with a heritage of countless millenia I will pass down to you."

Arakad pushes his hand forth towards Kelly as the nocturne orb floats out slowly swirling around her. "Though I am not Kindred, but Ghoul - I have been Ghoul for quite some years. It is rare an outsider learns the Abyss mystic arts, but in this King of the Shadows, and Father Night have granted me the permission to start you on the path. For your Assistance in my ... unfortunate yet voluntary demise." The Nocturne lengthens around Kelly forming bands around her throat, waist and chest

"The stipulation is to never teach another the art, of the Abyss to another without the permission of Shadows and those that rule there-in."

Kelly watched him and soaked in his words like a sponge. She watched the orb drift over toward her, surrounding her, felt it forming its darkness upon her. A chill of excitement ran through her.

She listened to his stipulation. "Agreed"

She had learned to play with shadows, but they were simple cantrips compared to the abyssal darkness that now caressed her.

A ghoul for perhaps far too long. She toyed with the thought of him becoming her Childe and grinned.
