The messenger is quite elegantly dressed, similar to the heralds of nobility in history. He wears an ornate, jewel-encrusted pin in the shape of a tokunese dragon on his vest. His mannerisms and speech drip with tones of refinement and respect. He will inform that he has a message to be delivered only onto the ears of Lord Ian Nottingham personally. He will recite several of Ian's known titles each time after speaking his name as if they had been ingrained into his memory.

The spoken message is recited as follows...

"Her Grace, Lady Ariana Lenoir, Noble Lady Of Umbra and Eternal Voice of the Lich Lord, The Illustrious Darrien Church...

... wishes to extend her personal hope for thy personal health and well being, as well as, the continued prosperity and long life of the noble clan of Cappadocius. In addition to her blessing, Her Grace wishes to arrange a time to speak privately with the noble Prince of the Cappadocians as well as present a generous gift to Your Highness from the Illustrious Darrien Church, Lord and Merciful Protector of Umbra. Her Grace sincerely hopes that Your Highness will see it in his well-mannered and pristine graces to accept her most humble and sincere request. "

The messenger will then respectfully wait for a return message or dismissal.

*Ian sits with his feet up on his desk, trying his best not to burst into laughter until the messenger finishes. Laughing whole-heartedly when he eventually, finally, stops speaking*

It is quite clear to me that Ariana did naut say such kind things about me, and if she did, I might suggest that you have her mental illness treated immediately. Either way, I will meet with her. Tell her to set up a time and a place. I would prefer that the Lich naut attend at this time. I am naut fond of them.

*Sending the messenger on his way*

The next evening, the same herald will return. He will request he has a message for Ian once again. However, this time the form of address is limited to "The Prince of the Cappadocian Clan, Ian Nottingham".

"Her Grace, Lady Ariana Lenoir, Noble Lady Of Umbra and Eternal Voice of the Lich Lord, The Illustrious Darrien Church...

... has heard your reply and is seriously disappointed by your lack of faith in her sincerity and your apparent lack of understanding as to the content of her previous message. Her Grace has decided that, although she is flattered that you have agreed to meet with her despite your uncertainty as to her mental health, she does not wish to trouble your already overburdened mental capabilities and will graciously withdraw her previous request. She sincerely hopes that your clan recovers and overcomes the thin blood that appears to curse its lineage and once more rises to the more powerful position it had when Lord Ronin was in control. Although, Her Grace regrets the fact she will be unable to aide in the recovery of your clan as she had originally hoped, she will endeavor to continue to retain her faith in your capability, despite how pressed that faith has become."

The herald will then bow graciously and leave as if he had not been given any instruction to wait for a reply.
