Fellow Infinitemen Nomack, Ronin, Spawn, Ragnar, and Sarian,

All of you are receiving a copy of this letter. As you all know, we are currently contracted by those currently living in Umbra for the inevitable upcoming war. For each battle, you will all receive 500,000 gold, as well as a potential bonus, circumstances depending. I will call upon you shortly for battle. But until then, a few things to keep in mind.

If you are wondering why we are not fighting for the other side, the answer is very simple. I offered Orelen and Starfire a chance to hire us. They claimed they did not need "mercenaries" working inside their "structured army." The contract that was then sent to us by those in Umbra was accepted, as there was no competition. I did, however, speak with some who reside in Moonglow. I sense bitterness in them towards the Protectorate. Perhaps Moonglow would have offered a contract. In any future wars, we would do well to present ourselves to every leader of every involved army, rather than just the figureheads of each side.

I have no doubt that our presence on the battlefield will not only be feared, but it will be remembered. Victory is something we must achieve at all costs. Bring everything you can to the field of battle, even if you feel you may not need it. Bring summons, potions, trinkets, everything. We fight because we're good at it. Let's strive to show everyone that they are getting more than their money's worth when they hire the Infinitemen.

Rest well, men. War is coming.

Cal Hurst
