Dear Mayor Yasamin,
It is with dark urgency I write you. The power which sustains both the defensive cantrips which protect the island, as well as perpetuate my individual personage has been interrupted. The Deliberative of the Bridge Builder is down and the island is at the mercy of its enemies. I do not know if you have classical training in the occult fundus, but certain magicks, like the one that has been safeguarding our people from the ravages of the newly emergent lich lord Darrien Church have their foundations in Naming. If Moonglow is not unified, its territories respresented as one singular entity, then it is not capable of sustaining any large-scale enchantments that require true names. Divided, "Moonglow" becomes a word around which no magic may coalesce.
Moreover, the spells which maintain my own constitution, based primarily within the mana stream from the Shrine of Honesty to the Verity/Moonglow spiritual entity, are failing. While outside influences possess some parcel of land on our island, I cannot dutifully ensure as progenitor with utmost Truth that Moonglow will endure. Until the land taken is restored, Moonglow and myself will be subject to the ravages of time, slowly drifting towards the mouth of Entropy.
I entreat you to employ all means at your disposal to restore our island nation to wholeness. Every other guild, organization and dynasty may rise and fall against the tide, but it is Moonglow that has stood as a stalwart defender against the darkness and should always serve as a line in the sand to evil - a firm statement to fell powers that "No further shall you go." _________________

Dear Greypawn,
I'm happy you contacted me, as I had planned to send a missive to you myself. You have far more knowledge of this island and its history than I, and I find myself in dire need of such information. It is with a heavy heart I tell you thata portion of Moonglow has been taken by the Orcs, but theiir comments leave me to worry that there is more involved than just a small piece being taken. I have been in the Lyceum, and can be reached there or Moonglow proper. I will endeavor to work hard and remove the vermin from our city, but I fear that this is but the beginning.
Please hold on in strength, for even through this, Moonglow shall overcome and endure.
With regards,
Yasamin _________________ (4:45:41 PM) Jarem: It becomes increasingly difficult to feel noble in my causes when my cause is to defend my charge from her own violent tendencies. |
