*Enoch takes a journal out of his desk and begins writing*

Tonight I have completed the first task assigned to me by my newest teacher, Kaelthir. She asked me to construct a pyre of my own, as she showed me, and to offer a sacrifice and prayer to oblivion. With this in mind, I managed to seduce two young women in a Jhelom tavern and bring them back to Moonglow. They were quite impressed with my magical prowess, Jhelom being a city somewhat lacking in the arcane arts. Once I had them alone, they were easily bound. I chose to conduct the rite in Moonglow, not out of any spite for my moonglowian comrades, but because I felt it would be the most impressive and dangerous city in which to hold such a rite. Most of the citizens have been evacuated in the last few days due to the orc raids, so I had my choice of locations, particularly civilian ones. I chose the church outside the northern gate. Recalling the pyre that Kaelthir and I made before, I piled wood and bodies of freshly killed creatures. As before, I made a circle around it of my own blood. I whispered the incantations that Kaelthir had shown me, and once again felt a rush of power as the blood boiled and turned black. At that point, any reservations I had were washed away. I set the pyre ablaze and prepared my offering. Before I threw those terrified girls into the fire, I kissed their necks and caressed them gently, assuring them that their sacrifice would be part of something great and powerful. Who knew necromancy could be so damn sexy?

*Enoch stops writing for a moment and grins, then continues*

As their beautiful bodies burned, I offered my prayer. I expressed my gratitude for the visions that had been bestowed upon me in my sleep, and asked only for guidance on my new path. I watched the pyre burn for a long while, until the flames dwindled, before leaving the smoldering remains of my offering in front of the church of honesty. I am fairly certain I was not seen. If I had been spotted, the militia would have almost certainly attempted to arrest me. For now, I remain in their ranks, but I do not know how much longer I can keep my new allegiance a secret...

*Enoch closes his journal and goes to bed, reflecting on the nights events*
