Kal'iksix paced in the Patron's playroom shortly after the exchange with the ninjas. Mumbling and cursing under she breath, she would occasionally stop to dab the bleeding from her lip or from the fresh cut on her bicep. Her son, Vas'al was being tended to by Isis and the Patron had run off in anger, loudly cursing in drow. No doubt he was looking for revenge she thought. Kal'iksix reviewed the events in her mind as she waited and paced. Who did this woman THINK she was talking to and who was she to demand such from a Matron. Not to mention rude and disrespectful even after Kal'iksix introduced her place of power in the Quarter. Did she honestly think if Kal'iksix believed she was the empress that she would be traveling alone with the three who were on Kal'iksix's death list? The note was addressed to the Soke, the details worked out to gain their trust to assist her in her situation, why in the Goddess' name would they change things. Kal was going to them, unarmed, bearing that what they wanted. The door opened, breaking Kal'iksix's train of thought and Zararra walked into the room. She bowed to her Matron.

"Mistress, you sent for me?"

"Xas, Priestess," Kal'iksix turned to face her, " be sure the door is secured. I do not wish any interruptions."

"Of course Mistress," Zararra walked to the door and made sure it was closed. Kal'iksix muttered a spell to place a ward on the door to be sure that no one interrupted them.

"Make sure we are alone, Priestess," Kal'iksix ordered walking over to the Patron's table. Zararra chanted a spell of revealing and found no one in the shadows.

"No one is in the shadows, Mistress. What is it that you wish to speak to me about?"

With quick reflexes, Kal'iksix picked up the skinning knife on the table and threw it with a full force of rage behind it, her eyes roaring to a fire red, burying the knife deep into the Priestess' thigh. Zararra cried out and bent down to grab the knife. Kal'iksix was on the Priestess faster that Zararra could realize, grabbing the Priestess by the throat. Kal'iksix smirked in a sadistic way, proud that her assasin reflexes had not left her completely.

"Did I order you to reveal those damn ninjas I knew where in the shadows?" Kal'iksix hissed at the Priestess.

"N..N..No Matron," Zararra's voice trembled slightly as the knife remained in her thigh.

"Then WHY?" Kal'iksix screamed at her, forcefully throwing the Priestess against the bars of the prison cells.

The sound of Zararra's head smashing against the bars was enough for Kal'iksix to realize that the scalp was split from the impact. Zararra grabbed her head as she slid down the bars. Kal'iksix chanted a spell which made all of Zararra's limb stiffen and immovable. Kal'iksix walked over to her and grabbed her by the hair and pulled her up to eye level.

"You disappoint me Priestess, and you know that is not a good thing."

Kal slammed Zararra's head against the bars once again. Seeing that the priestess was dazed from the impact, Kal slipped Zararra's arms through the bars so that she was standing and somewhat propped up. Kal'iksix backhanded the priestess a few times, breaking the skin at the corner of the priestess' lip. Zararra was unable to move away from the blows and just watched her Matron's rage being released on her.

"You are the reason my blood flows. You are the reason the Patron had run off. YOU are the reason my son bleeds for the first time from someone other than me."

Kal'iksix ripped the knife from the Priestess' leg and spun it in her hand to stab in a downward motion into the space in between Zararra's neck and collarbone. Hearing the screams from the Priestess, Kal'iksix made her way back to the Patron's table. Her eyes scanned over the table searching for more items. Zararra stood whimpering behind her as her blood stainning her shirt. Kal'iksix turned back around with a small piece of blackrock in her hand and walked back to the priestess.

"I have every mind to shove this down your throat and utter your death with one phrase."

Kal'iksix backhanded Zararra once more with her empty hand. Setting the blackrock next to Zararra on the bars of the prision cell, Kal'iksix yanked one of the axes from the wall between the cells. Turning it to the blunt side, Kal'iksix slammed the end into the priestess' abdomen. She did this repeatedly, smiling everytime she heard ribs crack or felt solid organs give way to the blunt object, knowing she ruptured at least one lung. With the paralyzing spell still in effect, Zararra was helpless to protect herself. Kal'iksix's aim shifted slightly and she impacted the Priestess' knee, shattering it completely. Kal'iksix threw the axe aside and grabbed the sword from on top of the anvil. She drove the sword deep into the Priestess' bicep and hissed at her.

"Bleed as your Matron bleeds!"

Kal'iksix then pulled the sword from her bicep and drove it hard into the priestess' right side. Once buried to the hilt, Kal'iksix started to apply an upward horizontal motion, meaning to disembowel the Priestess all over the floor.

"Bleed as your Prince bleeds! He's but a child and your mistake forced him into a battle he was far from ready for. He cries in pain because of you!" Kal'iksix continued to apply the pressure in the hilt of the sword. "There is only one reason why I do not flay your skin from your bones, filet your abdomen open, and hang you on the wall in the Melee-Magthere as a LIVING wall decoration. Oh yes, living, kept alive by YOUR male, the archmage, to feel endless pain and torture."

Kal'iksix removed the sword from the priestess' abdomen, yanked the knife from her shoulder, and pulled her arms from the bars while removing the paralyzing spell. She grabbed the blackrock and tossed it in the air and caught it while watching the Priestess finally react to her injuires. She smiled as Zararra doubled over in pain whimpering. Kal'iksix kicked the priestess in the head to open her flat on the floor. Kal'iksix bent down and grabbed Zararra's chin and snapped her head back to look into the Priestess' eyes.

"The reason I spared you....your actions fighting alongside Darrien's soldiers." Kal'iksix slammed Zararra's head against the stone floor and stomped with the heel of her boot into the Priestess' chest, knocking the wind from her lung. Tossing the blackrock up in the air again, Kal'iksix stood. She looked down at the Priestess bleeding on the floor and smirked while catching the blackrock without looking.

"Next time you wait for my order wench! You ruined everything! I have been scrambling to salvage your mistake, and sadly, a future relationship with the ninjas is completely out of the picture. I could have used them for a contract killing or something."

Kal'iksix kicked Zararra twice more before turning around, her cloak whipping about her. Kal'iksix tossed the blackrock behind her and began uttering the activation phrase. She turned slightly before the last word to see the look of panic on Zararra's face as the blackrock landed on her chest. She grinned wickedly and spoke one last time to the Priestess.

"Never cross the Matron Mother, Priestess."

Drayden had taken it upon himself to watch the Matron closely over the last few weeks. Mostly he remained unseen, keeping to the shadows in the Quarter. It was only wise, considering the recent downturn of events lately. He was shadowing the female drow closely, matching her steps perfectly. He had no weapon drawn, as that was not the Matron's order. Zararra glanced around cautiously and slipped inside the Matron's home and audience chamber. Drayden skillfully slid in behind her, making not a whisper. He quickly distanced himself the pair, as he heard the Matron sealing the door, and the Priestess beginning the incantations of a reveal spell. Drayden sunk farther into the shadows of the far corner of the room, quite confident that he was out of range. He had a slight grin on his face as he watched the pair make their way dowstairs. He knew what was coming. The Matron was so calm and cool, considering how infuriated the female had made her. Drayden had a feeling that would last too long after they got to the Matron's "playroom".
Drayden heard the Matron screaming at Zarrara before he made it down the stairs. He heard the Priestess' screams of pain as the wicked Matron beat her into submission. He saw the blood flow on the stone floor. The fury that the Matron had with this disobedient female startled him. But did not displease him. The Priestess deserved every strike from the Matron. Every drop of blood that fell for her punishment. Drayden watched silently throughout the punishment session, keeping himself unseen. In times like these, he had to keep an eye on the Matron's safety, and an ear next door....

The Archemage watched and paced anxiously as the healer worked to repair the priestess' injuries. As she set the last of the broken bones into place and finished her bandage dressings, "I can take over from here," he said reaching into a pocket of his robe. He pulled his hands from his pocket and a dusty powder flew from it, "Kal Xen Bal Beh""See to her furthered assistance." The summoned spirit landed several nearly mortal blows before she even realized what had happened. She managed to avoid a few and retreated into to far corner of the lab, near the cell. As the spirit approached to deliver the final strike, the healer was able to cast a spell of dispel, to rid herself of the spirit. "Kal Xen Bal Beh", she heard in the distance.

"You have served your purpose" he spoke, dismissing the second spirit. He dragged the corpse of the healer by her hair over nearer to his table so that he could prepare it for the death healing ritual. "You may wish to witness the fate of your corpse", he said as he removed her eyelids with a razorblade that he had just retrieved from a pocket of his robes. He then proceed with the proper desecrations and incantations to tranfer the healing energy of death from the healer to the preistess.

Orgollree'rean stayed for days nursing the preistess back to health, he had been tempted many times to seize the opprotunity, and finish her off himself, but resisted. "I may need her, in the near future", he thought to himself. He then noticed her stirring and regaining consciousness.
"Do you wish her death, my matron?"
"No", the priestess screamed. After a long pause she continued reluctantly, "It is the will of the Goddess, for her to rule this... Umbran OverDark."
Rubbing the scar on her leg, "a reminder..", examining her other wounds, "I must not forget my purpose here. It was also a reminder again.. This is not Faerun."
"The Umbran OverDark", he said aloud thinking of how that sounded. He then thought to himself, "this is not Faerun". This was not Faerun, but it was beginning to seem more like it. The preistess had not been beaten so severely, since she had left Ched Nasad. Perhaps this OverDark will become very similiar to the UnderDark.
