Some describe resurrection as a beautiful event; like a phoenix rising from the ashes, a person can be given a second chance. Some describe it as magical, as though the impossible becomes possible. Some even go so far as to call it a miracle, that a person can walk again on a world that has already decided it doesn't want them.

Some people just don't know death. Final death. The destruction of a soul.

Upon the destruction of a soul, the entity suffering is banished from this realm of existence forever; there is simply no getting around it. But that's not to say that a perfectly good body has to be wasted... it can still be put to good use.

Consider if you will, two people... one a sickly, weak, small man, very intelligent in both scholarly knowledge and tactical application; the other a brute, though considerably less intelligent. If both were to die, what is to say one cannot resurrect the intelligent soul in the brute's body? Some may view that as ghostly possession, though the tie could in fact be more than just a temporary fix. How would one go about making this bond permanent, creating an entirely new person in the process? Would that in fact be possible, to merge two people into one?

It seems farfetched though it is entirely possible; it's actually been done, though not in suck blatant a manner... the traits, characteristics and abilities of two people combined into one... though not a total merging of souls, all one needs is a drop of blood to replicate the essence of an entity... if one knows what one is doing.

So that leads back to the subject, can two people actually be merged? Yes, though both would die in the process, in favor of creating an entirely NEW entity... a new soul, if you will.

Creating life.

Some may call it blasphemy, but it's already be done. I myself have done it. I AM a merged soul.

But what if more could be done? Why stop at two? Could three people be merged? What about four?

I read a passage from a foreign text once, about a man who was possessed by many demons at one time: "My name is Legion, for we are many." Instead of demons, could a person simply be made up of several people at once? What if one could take the best traits of all these people and combine only those?

A dangerous concept, I know, one that is probably not even possible... but it is still one step closer to immortality... even if my soul will not live on forever, I will find a way for some part of me to live on.

Excelsius made his final visit to me today. Told me the bad news. I left a portion of my mixed blood behind. Only Excelsius can find it.

Leaving the tome to Smythe. In my final hours, I will achieve my goals. My blood will stay behind until someone figures out my research.

Off to Wisp Dungeon to wait for Dan.
