My son,

I have returned from a self-imposed solitude to discover many changes in the land of Umbra. Not the least of which being the lich seated in power. When I left, I was under the impression that Warlord Shalcross was going to continue to rule over the remaining loyalists. It would seem quite otherwise.

This leaves me to wonder, as no one as of yet seems able to inform me, where Umbra stands in relation to Stonegate? I would like to meet with you to catch up on the state of things, and fill in the gaps of information that have accrued over the past few weeks. There is obviously more to discuss, but I am not prone to putting such in a letter. Tell me when we might meet and I will pay a visit.

I look forward to visiting soon,

There are things of great import for us to discuss. It is correct that we should not go into detail in writing.
