It finished patching at some crazy hour last night, I was having a bit of a choppy issue but setting up macros ect were so easy in it.
So far I like it but only was on it for like an hour. _________________ May destiny guide you... |

yes I have it
still alot of bugs....they still can't get a bandance/heal-self macro right....bunch of tile issues, paperdoll issues, arm/disarm issues..etc..etc..etc...I played about 2 hours while hunting in Tokuno on it. I got KR macro working correctly with a hotbar/target self but they removed the right-click tarket option in SA that was in the KR client (didn't like that they did that).
The inability to map the 'ESC' key from opening the menu is annoying. Continue to have lack of support for the mouse scroll to be used with macros.
Alot of bugs (imo) for a Beta that was open to the public...what I am hoping is that they didn't patch it to the expected patch level for release. I would've thought at this point that the closed Beta would've caught alot of this...I have been submitting bugs anyway - hope it helps...
I will say the art/animation is better than KR. The mix of 3 and 2d is cool with me. _________________ To kill a non-believer tis not murder, tis the path to enlightenment... |

Cant say why they removed the right click to target, might be because the marco system now has Store target.
Vets can now have three macros to heal three pets.
This site helps a whole lot.

I don't know much about beta testing, but I'm assuming at least that when a company puts a game or client out into open beta they have it looking at least the way they want it to... And that felt like a huge step down from 2D just on appearances alone. Yes when it is out of beta I will give it another try, until then it was just too depressing to look at.
And no I'm not a naysayer to all the attempts EA has been making to improve the game, I've just found them all ass ugly and UO is bad enough looks wise as it is any worse and it's unplayable |

Well KR LOOKS nice.. It just crashes really easily + has a lot of little bugs. So I stick w/2D. |

The use of the 2D tiles for basically all statics was a good choice...I like the more detail of the mobs and new animations. The client itself is more alive than the legacy - my biggest issue is the macroing system still isn't there...I just find it hard to believe that some freelance programmer can create UOAssist and paid developers and create a similar internal system. _________________ To kill a non-believer tis not murder, tis the path to enlightenment... |

Ive been playing KR for a while now....I missed 2d for about a month but now I don't know why I did. As for the beta I'm pretty happy...granted I pumped all the graphics to max. As far as the game play....it needs work but thankfully it is beta and should get some love.
The UI is uncomparable to either client. The simple fact that you can resize the window sold me, Ive been wanting that for years. |

Has anyone else had a problem at all with the client running slow....as....freaking.....hell?
I can run any game I've ever tried on this computer with no problem. LOTR Online was a breeze. But anytime they come out with a "3D client" for UO it runs so choppy my mouse isn't even fluid. It stalls for a few seconds every 5-10 seconds, and if I try to walk, GOD FORBID....step step step (pause for 5-10 seconds) step step (pause for 4-5 sconds) step (pause).
I am at a loss....even with everything turned all the way down it runs that way. KR always ran the same way. |

Same with me, Cezanne. I can run WOW and Guildwars at the same time and not feel any kind of drag. Running UOKR client alone is like swimming through maple syrup. It was even worse on my old PC. But the one I'm on currently has 3g ram and quad core and it's still like towing a hippo. |
