The stillness of the Cappadocian meeting room was that of death. Considering the inhabitants of this place though, it didn't surprise Drayden at all as he finished his meeting with the Vampire Princess, Kelly. He had met this woman a few times in the past. In fact, he remembered her face as one of the half dozen that arrived in Moonglow to see to his release from jail.
"There should be enough there to dose most of the people in Hanse's that are having a drink. Remember not to be seen. I can't help you because my face is too well known."
Kelly said this as she handed him a small case of vials. Each one held a clear liquid that was supposed to cause halucinations and euphoria. Drayden carefully took the package and stowed it in a pouch. The two then said their goodbyes and the Drow made his way back to his home to gather a few supplies to hold him through this next Operation. He was quite relieved that he and the Sirah had been fairly successful at their operations in Moonglow. He still had an operative or two watching them, but now there was a true enemy that needed watching. Drayden's thoughts were already turning as he went through his home, gathering the items he would need. A grin crossed his face then as he truly realized the irony in this. Sanctus was never an enemy of his, in fact he had served some time ago in their military for a short time. In fact, during the war of Minoc they were a valuable ally.
Then the voice came to him...
They harbor Humanists, just like Moonglow. They enable and embrace them. The Sanctans will taste the fires of chaos soon...
Drayden scowled at the familiar voice in his mind, "That will come with time father. I must find out the extent of the infestation. Then fire can be used to cleanse such things..."
The voice grow quiet then, leaving Drayden to his preparations.
It was time to go and start watching them, there would be more soon. But for now Drayden would be alone in his endeavor. It always seemed to work out that way. He sat down at his desk and looked over the directives that Kelly had given him. He committed them to memory and set the small scrap of paper on fire from a candle. He then began to pen two short letters to those who would be most suited to assist. |
