Minister of Defense Vargus Daelstrum,

That is a mouthful, isn't it? Anyway, I write to you for your suggestions, and to ask that you get the opinions of the other council members, with the exception of Rhiannon who is currently unavailable.

First, the plot we found in the Legion of Honor territory has been given a basic framework with what limited resources I have. We will need the militia and all craftsmen to help out with this. The craftsmen to create ingots, workable lumber, and other such things, and have the militia caravan the goods to the outpost.

Second, the continuance of war. After the outpost is constructed, we need to strike. And not just by patrols, we need to lessen their holdings. Go for the throat. This is, however, just my opinion. I ask you for your's, and the rest of the council.

Lastly, Minoc and Vesper in Felucca are useless to us. I read in the books that we received them in order to keep them safe from some Dark Order empire. To my knowledge, this empire no longer exists, and we would do better to focus our efforts elsewhere for the time being.

I will not be around this eve. I am taking a "personal day," if you will. I'm feeling a little ill, and Brittany has urged me to remain home. Should you absolutely need me, however, I am only a wisp away.

Semper Veritas,

Cal Hurst

Mayor Cal Hurst,

I have spoke with the militia, and Yasamin. Yasamin will be acquiring the stone needed from Minoc, Fel, and the militia will be escorting it to Moonglow tomorrow. After all of the resources are packed into the two boats that will be needed to escort everything to its destination, five militiamen and I will be sailing to the destination immediately, three in each boat.

Once the Outpost is constructed, I agree that lessening their holdings would be a good move, and it shouldn't prove to be too much of a problem.

Concerning Minoc and Vesper in Felucca, I do believe Vesper isn't doing any good for Moonglow, but, Minoc is a good source of stone and iron, and unless we can acquire some other source of such resources, I would be reluctant to remove the Moongow banner from Minoc's soil.

Always Truth,
Vargus Daelstrum
