|
The red-haired man wandered Moonglow, seeking out both Artius and Trent to deliver an important message to them both. Upon finding each, he would greet them politely and slip the letter into their hand, leaving shortly after.
Quote: | At tonight's Protectorate meeting, I asked Isk about his plans on the most basic of Humanis ideals, if cross-breeding will be discouraged. I was more than civil, framing it in the context of preserving heritage of all races of Sosaria. His answer was, and I quote, "let people build and write what they wish concerning races. Humans that want to look to their heritage have Magincia and elves have that ridiculous tree. Human lineage is written in books and in blood. Marry a human woman and write about your ancestors and you are doing your part." Furthermore, he claimed with all of the war the Protectorate deals with he has no time to do anything else, stating that maybe the next regent will have the time. Turning to the past and writing books does not solve the problems currently at hand. Magincia was destroyed by demons, we cannot take up residence upon the isle as the Humanists of old did. Perhaps in his drugged up mind the memories take on life, but that does little to help us and the growing problems humanity now faces.
It is clear the Protectorate is too infested with elves for us to expect anything from Isk. We need to get together and make plans for a new future, Year Zero isn't going to simply happen on its own. |

Artius carefully read the letter and nodded to himself. Taking a seat at his desk, he quickly prepared his reply.
"Dear Protector of Humanity
Your service to us all is noted and appreciated. You are completely right, we are the architects of our salvation and we cannot rely on 'Regent Isk' to take our best interests to heart. He has long since forgotten his duty and his ears must overflow with the putrid honey of those foul beasts who corrupted him. We should meet immediately and discuss your actions more carefully. I would say more, but some things are better left spoken words alone.
Sincerely,
AW"
Artius sealed the letter and summoned a messenger.
"See that this letter reaches the addressee," he ordered.
The messenger nodded and quickly exited the room. Artius wrapped his cloak around himself and left to find Trent. Artius knew he would want to hear all about this. _________________ Hold Humanis High! |
