*A letter in the palm of a small, peasant child, approaches the holdings of the Ildaw family bearing a message emblazoned with the seal of the city of Britain.*
'From the Offices of Detective Orelen Reaucher, Sheriff of Britain'
Noble Lord Adrian Ildaw,
My appologies for the state of my messenger, approaching one of your stature, however the child was the nearest and quickest courier I could find.
I understand a business man of your stature can overlook this.
My message to you this day, is in regard to our home City, Lord Ildaw, and the problems breeded for this City.
I will say little more in a letter, suffice to say I must meet and speak with you. Somewhere safe and secure. I would like the letter returned to me routed away from my office. There are trash cans all about the city... I'm not against refuse picking.
I hope to hear from you soon.
With all due respect,
Sincerely,
Detective Orelen Reaucher, Sheriff of Britain. |

It was a curious sight, this small boy with a message standing outside Adrian's door. He stood just across the way, leaned against a wall as he watched the child. He allowed the messenger to continue to knock for a moment as he scanned about, looking for anyone that might be accompanying the child. When there was no one to be seen, Adrian walked to the door and bade him come in, sitting down to read the letter while the messenger waited.
*****
A short while later, the child ran out of Adrian's quarters, carrying what seemed to be an armful of letters. So many so that he dropped them as he ran at full speed.
Normally Adrian might have punished such a messenger, but what was to punish when a messenger followed instructions.
Surely the letters on the ground were much more noticible than the wad of paper thrown into the trash.
******
Sheriff,
You honor me with your request to speak, and I will of course accept.
As a noble son of Britain, I offer my aid to her freely in this time of need.
Your messenger bares no consequence in the pressence of such a message. I will find you as soon.
Sincerely,
Adrian Ildaw
Lord of the Ildaw Trading Company
