The dragon was finally gone, and Yasamin slowly walked into her shop to see the damage. Just as she thought, there, on the floor, were three dead bodies. Her workers had all perished in the tragedy, and hadn't gotten out when the warning sounded. This kept happening. She looked and saw evidence of her weaver having been struck down by an arrow. At least one went insane again.
She picked up the cloth on the floor and tried to make some semblance of the room. She'd need to hire someone... again! She had just bent over to pick up a pink, frothy evening wear when she heard the sound of a wolf whistle from behind her. She stood up quickly and turned, facing three men staring wolfishly at her.
"Can I help you?" she asked them slowly, her arms full of pink, blue and green froth.
"No, ma'am, we're here to help you. Name's Wyatt. I'm a master tailor known in the more rural areas. This here is my par...weaver, Rider, and my tailor, Marshall."
Yasa raised an eyebrow, staring at the three unlikely men. The one man, Rider, was chewing on a bit of grass, and all were armed with bows.
"You all want... to be tailors?"
"Yes'm. Why, we reckon that you be needin' strong folk like us, and won't cotten to no weak ones like..." His voice trailed off as he looked at the massacre on the floor. Yasa stared in disbelief. Then, she looked to the bodies, a small smirk forming. Truly, how long could these men last?
"Alright, you're on. But one complaint, and you're fired." Yasa warned, but a small sense of delight hitting her.
"Ma'am you needn't worry. We'll be the best makerrs of frou frou you'd ever saw."
Yasa mouthed the words frou frou as she left, so much in shock she didn't realize she forgot to warn them about the dragons. _________________ (4:45:41 PM) Jarem: It becomes increasingly difficult to feel noble in my causes when my cause is to defend my charge from her own violent tendencies. |
