As the sun set, a shadowy figure moved through the trees towards the Minoc moongate. His dark clothing covered or shadowed most of his skin from the moonlight. As he came close, the light of the pulsating moongate briefly reflected off the skin of his shadowed face. It revealed translucent skin that almost appeared to shift colors slightly in the few seconds it took before he growled softly and pulled the hood further down to once again bathe his face in shadows. With a slight shudder of the shadowy figure, he stepped into the pulsating blue light. A second later an image of the City of Umbra flickered for an instant in the blue light as the magic directed his passage.

"Hey there... psst... I have something really nice you'd like..." the hushed voice softly spoke as Ariana started to walk up her steps.

Ariana turned, her body tensing slightly at the unfamiliar voice from the shadows, "Pardon me?"

"Look... " it said as his hands pulled out a beautiful polished crystal box. Carved images of the phases of the moons sparkled on the pale blue surface. The figure's long fingers curved over the lid, opening the box to reveal what appeared to be a crystalline small telescope. "This telescope is one of a kind. Truly unique and you'll never find another one like it, I guarantee. This telescope has the power to show you the current phases of the moons, no matter where you are, day or night, even inside or on a cloudy night. Would make a perfect gift for your special someone on Sweetheart's Day..."

Ariana looked over the beautiful item, but scowled ever so slightly at the reminder of the impending lovefest that would surely sweep across the world. "I have nay intention of havin' a sweetheart t'give it t'.. Good day." she spoke rather abruptly and went inside.

The figures pale lips frowned slightly as it closed the box. It whispered as it placed it carefully into a red bag and tucked it into it's robes, "We must find you a home... a lovely home... before we move on to greener pastures..."
