I think britain is one of those neutral citys that no one owns per say. if anything I'd say the protectorate would be the closest thing. I could be wrong, I was just always under the impression its one of those cities that no one was supposed to own. _________________ "You see I can not be forsaken, because I'm not the only one. It was originally agreed that no one would own Britain. I don't know if things have changed though. _________________

It looks like a guild with the abbreviation of -B-, unfortunately I am not familiar with them... I will try to contact Adrien, I don't know if I have his ICQ number though.
Thanks for the assistance. |

Might be time to update that map. It's been a few months, and I am sure some of the guild's may have lost/gained members and what not.
Britain I am sure is owned by the protectorate, but as for specific areas there, a few are open.
I'm going to look into figure out a few updates for the map. If you figure out where exactly you want to claim, PM me, and I'll see what is what. |

Britain is the capitol of the Britannian Protectorate and the Protectorate Council generally governs the city with Regent-Emeritus Garnier acting as Governor of the Britain province. The guild that holds the city is -B- a.k.a. The King's Hand, my guild. Also I believe Tay M'real's guild The Northland Coaltion makes use of the city and the surrounding areas. LUTE has been known to spend time there too.
As technical "holder" of the city I don't restrict it's use at all. Feel free to base guilds there, hold events, use the fair-grounds and do whatever you like. Just keep in mind open criminal organizations, terrorist groups or non-protectorate loyalist groups may be persecuted.

When warring and land-claims were re-vamped about a year ago it was decided by the 23 or so ARPC GMs at the time in the senate that the only "neutral" places would be the Atlantic Historical sites that are shaded in grey on the map such as Rivendel, Fogwood, West Yew University ect...
I was not too particularly involved in the Britain question at the time but if I remember the logic it was generally felt that Britain given it's significance to UO could be a major plot device for the Community as it was in "The Great War" several years back when Beleth had taken the city with the Shadow Conclave and many guilds such as MTC and Stormhaven had to unite to win it back. This is why Britain and Skara Brae, which because of the community center, were ultimately deemed claimable when the new A.R.P.C. rule-sets were introduced.
My ICQ is 405940522 and I'm in the United States for another week before heading back to Italy. So currently I'm in EST time-zone which should make finding me on ICQ a bit easier. Also, you can always P.M. me.
As for the maps, Ceinwyn is in charge of updating them. Since I have some free time perhaps Jon and I can divide the list, review our guild roster, Q GMs and try and get her a concise list of any and all updates that need being made. |

That makes sense, then. I remember there being a "ban" on claims a few months or so ago, and haven't heard anything about them since. Has the "ban" been lifted? _________________

The rooftops and alleyways belong to the people! And when we are ushered from our sheltered lives and shed the masks of the worker, we shall fill the streets!
So yes. Thank you for the mention Adrien =D _________________ Work in Progress.

Not familiar with the "ban" must have been while I was in the chaos of moving and such. What I think happened was that claims were suspended while the A.R.P.C. support staff searched for a new map-updated since Sir Robert stepped down and so Isk asked that everyone refrain from claims and such during that time.
Now that Ceinwyn has stepped up though the maps are fully operational and Guild-Masters can use them as they did before the freeze. |
