A small jade spider arrives at Ronin's office with an sealed letter with the House of Alean'und mark upon it.

Greetings Lord Ronin,
As a sign of good faith towards our recent alignment, I extend to you and your clan a special invitation to a dinner party at my home. I have forwarded a similar note to Lord Ian and Lady Kelly since an old friend will be joining us for dinner.
Please send your reply via this Child of Lolth. Details of the final arrangements will follow your reply. I look forward to having you as a guest in my home.

Ronin sat at his desk looking over the reports of the Day Guards, when a small jade spider walked to the middle of his desk, stopped, turned and look him in the eye.

Ronin stared back, knowing full well from whence it came. The staring continued until Ronin revealed his fangs. For a few minutes, they teased back and forth, each trying to outdo the other, showing faces that were each more mean and wicked than the last.

But when the spider spun a web, Ronin chuckled, "You got me there, I can't match that." Ronin removed and read the note the spider carried, and penned a reply.

"Thank you for your invitation, it would be an honor, I look forward to meeting your old friend. I anxiously await the date and time.”

Ronin then sent the jade spider on its way.
