Aye, I should have stated that because there are even some human mortals who wish to destroy all humans.. so I guess it's not out of the realm that some undead or other races might. hehe

I have ordered off the drinks menu at the Den of Sin. Typically drink wine. I've been doing some reading as I've never played VTM. Trying to for myself personally stick to what I think makes good common sense. Around other vampires it is much less risky to be a more natural self. When others human, Elf, or otherwise are about... caution, deception are much more useful.

I've always rp'd the other side, human, goodie two shoes, helpful healer etc. Human's tend to either fear and run from what they do not or cannot understand or try to destroy it. So at least while interacting with those I believe to be human, I try to appear to be so. Never had an encounter with a werewolf that I know of or other race in rp (well other than a Drow or two on Great Lakes). Though it would seem somewhat prudent not to give those around you reason to wish to destroy you.

Illaria endeavors to be a somewhat timid, young human female. Polite, relatively proper.. but hugely curious about this world she was kept from. So I've tried a variety of ways to interact from sitting "staring" at people to "smiles" to childish question about masks, differences in appearance from other humans.

I try to avoid sitting amongst others that are known vampires. Because it would implicate me as one of them. Though I have the same issue due to the Giovanni name so sometimes I only offer a first name. Though there is some sense of safety in a public place among those of your own kind. And a sense I think as newcomers to the shard of friendship, common ground to sit among those you know the best. However, it may not be the best rp choice or the one that opens the most windows or opportunity. Most of us just like everyone else want to participate, be accepted to a point anyway IC. Out of character the player wishes to find his or her niche, a place where we fit without that being too restrictive.

I find this whole race of vampires a bit like acting out episodes of The Highlander (lol) We know one another without having to say anything, we don't want others to know we're immortal (vampires). Perhaps all striving to be the dominant Vampire race or clan and of course to either dominate or destroy lesser beings. Bring about a world order that is more to our life style. As a drow would, and maybe even in the heart of a few elves there is the thought that the world would be a better place without all the crude humans cluttering it up. Even if by nature they perhaps wouldn't act on it by killing them.

I don't think this post is necessarily negative as far as its impact. But more a bunch of players attempting to find a melding point between what has been on Atlantic for years, what we hope to be and find a middle ground that allows for some "fresh blood" (no pun intended) without undermining a lot of work done by other to get this far.

I heard that vampires wear badges that state their name, that they are vampires, their clan, their rank in the clan and their favorite color and that these badges are worn at all times, regardless of circumstance. Even when naked.
