I am a member of the Great Lakes roleplay community; a community which, unfortuneately, has been dieing a slow death in recent years. After much discussion and debate, many of the members of our community have decided it is time to find a new home in a more driven community.

In our search across shards to find a well organized community that maintains events and has detailed rules, many of which we have in common, we happened upon the community of ARPC. Many of us have been impressed by the detail surrounding your community and by the level of activity, which is what we have been starved from in the waning interest on Great Lakes.

We are wishing to meet with the ARPC guild leaders to discuss joining your community as a guild. Please add me to your icq list or reply to this post!

Thanks!

I am truely sorry about whats happening on great lakes and i hope you join one of the many fine guilds here. And I hope to soon start organizing cross shard RP gatherings were we can all meet people from past and present on one shard.

The one you spoke to was probably either Nosfentor/Coremon or Jase Wendryn, who has already joined one of your guilds. Or possibly Wu Fei, who has been checking out the scene on Atlantic for some time. There are a small few on GL who are upset with us for leaving, but we are tired of kicking a dead horse and want some interaction. Some will probably join guilds that are established already and we have a guild we are going to start on Atlantic with a theme that is a little uncommon in UO.

We expect to be here and ready to roll by the end of October. Right now we are working on developing a history and setting up small scenarios to introduce ourselves to everyone. What I will reveal about our concept off the bat is we will start neutral, but watch for clues about the direction we will be heading.

If there are any IRC users out there, you can pop in and say hello by visiting #D^G (this is our GL fel non-rp guild public channel) or by visiting #glrpc on any stratics server.

And thanks much for the warm welcome; we are looking forward to meeting and getting to know everyone!

Welcome aboard! I actually began my UO experience on the Great Lakes shard in 1999. I joined the Guild of Friends and was a member for several years! Didn't do any roleplay on that shard, but I have some damn good memories from those times. It's sad to hear another shard is dying, like Baja.

Another group of us that is also coming over from GL in this transition, is represented by a group of Tokuno guilds centered around an Imperial Government for that land.

We plan on bringing over the following guilds and will attempt to gain a place of RP within the Tokuno Islands:

Empire of Tokuno (Formal governing guild)
Imperial Army of Zento (Samurai's and such)
Blue Lotus Clan (ninjas)
Temple of Zento (monks)
Tokuno Mages Society (mages/necro)

Obviously our primary focus will be in establishing real estate for these guilds as quickly as possible. But we also have been trying to contact (unscuccessfully) the guilds currently opperationg in Tokuno.

We would obviously like to work with those organizations to help us substantiate ourselves into the community, but are also currious if the situation exists that those guilds are inactive. Is there a standard operation plan in place if that becomes the situation?

Any input at this point would be GREATLY appreciated.

Sincerely,

Takashi Mandaka

Welcome to Atlantic!

I check the GLRPC boards at times, and I've been impressed with your foresight and willingness in approaching the Atlantic RP community. I hope you all get settled well and I believe everyone in the ARPC will extend a hand, offer support and provide encouragement whenever it is needed.

If they don't, I'll be sure to dismantle every fiber of their existence. firedevil
