A messenger leaves the following scroll for the Matriarch Ceinwyn, and is seemingly killed accidentally by a flock of vampire bats upon leaving the building.

Dearest Matriarch,

It is with joy that I inform you of the unexpected birth of our new son, Warwycke. He was not quite due to join us in the world but unfortunate circumstances brought it about regardless of the best laid plans. As per our conversation last week, our family will be away for a hiatus from everything. Your gracious approval of my requests is, of course, appreciated more than you can possibly know.

Yours in the darkness,
Merrique

An envelope arrives for the proud parents, bearing red fingerprints, as if whoever held it had bloodstained hands.

Merrique and family,

Congratulations on the latest addition to your family. Umbra rejoices with you. Hopefully, you will benefit from these gifts.

Fondest wishes,

Ceinwyn ab'Arawn

p.s. Another boy?

Attached to the letter is a string. Attached to the string is a small boy, towing a wagon. In the wagon are the following:

1 fruit basket
1 basket of toiletries for both mother and baby
1 bottle of sharp Umbran whiskey, with the name "Walter" written in script upon it's label
1 very menacing looking dagger with the name "Shalcross" engraved upon the base of the blade
