And where did I say that I'm not respecting your RP? Honestly, do you people read anything I say? It's really frustrating for me :/ |

I don't know, really. I only know that CAP is getting BS from a bunch of people telling them how to RP, whether it was you or not I don't know. I just felt like screwing with somebody, really. |

But making bold statements like you are THE BEST NECROMANCERS on a server you just joined, as well as being hostile when people tell you otherwise, just doesn't sit well. I mean, you say you want to learn, but then get aggressive in other threads. We're not telling you to change what you're doing at all, and quite frankly being told "WELL HISTORY CAN BE REWRITTEN AND WE'RE REWRITING IT SO THERE KTHXBYE" comes off like a big frak-you to everyone else. I fully admitted that it's hard to pick up lore and would be happy to write up a fast and easy history, but I'm starting to feel like it's not worth my time to. Would you honestly even care or read it? |
Take the tourniquet off from around your neck, lets relax. I was speaking from a RP standpoint, and referencing all the know guilds RPing the only guild I know of DEDICATED to NECROMANCY is the Giovanni.
If you want to blow it up into a lore battle, I want no part of it. This is too much drama for a couple hours of RP a week with people. Especially since those bitching and moaning the most don't even frakking RP anymore, or RP so little I haven't even seen them.
Please come to tavern night and share your interest in necromancy with the giovanni, then pass on your lore. Till then let's drop it.

Nocture, I can assure for myself at least I'm reading. Trying to read as much of all this forum stuff as I can to try to get a feel for things.
Common Courtesy is given, the dignity of niceties and politeness. Civil tongues and adult attitudes toward problems solving. Respect though is something IMO that is earned. That is a two way street. With experience and interaction comes respect or disrepect.
I hope to be seen as an individual, though I carry the Giovanni name and proudly. I am a crafter/mule. I am my own player. Some folks have much stronger personalities and they come through even in text.
My post was merely meant to show that I see a great deal of parallel between the roleplay forums in Great Lakes and Atlantic. You see the same emotions, same ranges of active and inactive players. It felt a bit like Deeja Vu coming into this one only the "names have been changed to protect the innocent" hahaha sort of of a thing.
I am still fascinated by the chance to roleplay a vampire. I know they met alot of resistance as a race on Great Lakes. The Ultima Fiction fans find them "a stretch" they pose issues with "Godmoding possibilities" confusion as to what, who, how they can be, come to be etc. In fact they as a race have all but died out on Great Lakes and IMO it was a tragic loss.
I liked the roleplay that came with them. I enjoyed the rp that came with URK who played great Orcs, I enjoyed the few who tried to be Savages (the Booga Tribe) there were a few who tried to be Goblins. I think that exploration of all these things within Roleplay adds for more color and directions to go. By all means though there have to be "ordinary common, law abiding folks too" in order to keep a balance in a civilization.
I came over here and created a character because I was told how Open Atlantic shard was, how the community has a means to work through issues word came that folks are welcoming and receptive. Its been several years since creating a character has allowed my mind to race with ideas! The thought that I might actually be allowed to develop my character into who I see "it" to be and play that role. I have no intent to steamroll over anyone ... just do my thing to be part of my guild, the community etc.
I think that's what most who came here want, is to find a means to be part of the community work as a whole. Even if forgive me the more masculine way of learning to work together and cooperate often IMO requires a bit more than just verbal skills. *winks* I love the guys who preceded me from great lakes (at least most of them, others earn a grudging respect) But you have to admit guys have their own unique ways of working out "cooperation and team work". You all don't sit down over a civil glass of tea with some nice cookies and chat.
Well I'm off to see if this board has any history telling me Who you all are from a roleplay story line sense or if I have to just pop in to a tavern night and be a fly on the wall.
[red]Norture, obviously I need to get my glasses tweaked to a new script. Sorry for the misread of your name[/red]

You know, heh. The boards have a pm system that is great for singling people out. Just a thought. |

They're both hot. And they happen to be my Grand and Great granddaughters respectively. |
