lets be honest. this is Ultima. whatever you know about necromancy or anything (however hes stated hes NOT a necromancer...) its subject to what Ultima brings to the table so far as what necro mancy is.
its your RP. if your not using necromancy great(even tho mechanically you are), indeed talk to sanctus. however, regardless of how you do it, raising the dead may be blanket enought to get you -not- in

Read what lore?
Lore on ultima necromancy? I have, and the earliest 'known' information surrounds the grimswinds in Umbra.
ARPC necro lore? Guilds like NCR, OES, and many others.
I wasn't trying to quote you out of context. What I'm saying is that you are taking credit and declaring yourselves the best source of necro and necro rp in the community and I'm telling you that you don't have the right to do that.
There are dozens of people that are dedicated to necromancy and have role played it for years, myself included. Your guild is brand new. I don't mind you trying to draw people in, just dont discount other guilds and rpers infront of potential new players to gain them.

That in itself is offensive. You haven't bothered reading up on Atlantic lore to find out that yes, in fact, there is a lot of necromancy history on this server. The Order of the Ebon Skull's old library is part of a public library in game, it's easy to just go and look things up. There are still those of us who RP the lore, and some old necromancers who show up from time to time. You can't just come to a RP community and pee all over its history and think that's acceptable and that nobody will mind.
A bit of history: The origin of vampires on Atlantic is tied to Oblivion, I believe it was during the Stygian Empire that Oblivion blessed the first vampire. The first was named Zemyaza, NOT Caine, and from him the other clans were derived. At one time there was a chart hosted somewhere that showed the TRACEABLE bloodlines. There have been a few people who simply make a character of a bloodline, but after hooking up with the other vampires become more mindful of the history and try to see if they can become part of the bloodline by speaking to one of the others of it.
And I'll tell you what-- There's already a Cappadocian line on this server, which should affect Giovanni since you are DERIVED from the Cappadocian bloodline. If you people want, I can contact him. He's currently not active and living on the other side of the world, but I'll gladly pay for a month or two of gametime to have his presence back. |

Sorry, need to refine my statements better.
Vampire here seems to be based on white wolf to a certain extent. I say this by witnessing the acknowledgement of the CAP library explaining the clans of vampires. Also in seeing the different clans Ventrue/Tremere/Malkavian/Cappadocian. CAP has a wonderful explanation on the clans and the guidelines that the players seem to accept and are using here on ARPC.

The vampire RPers on this server have been RPing using VTM lore adapted for Atlantic and UO for YEARS. Don't be condescending to us, we know what we are talking about. I am all for new (un)life in the vampire community, but acting like we know nothing is offensive. If you want a history lesson in Atlantic vampire RP or want to learn more about evil RP history on the server, there are many of us who would teach you (I know Azunda began to, before he was swamped with real life). Including myself. But don't just pee all over our years of established roleplay, that just comes off as rude. |

First off, I have seen this many times. Lets use your situation as an example.
Somedood: Kal Por Nox Necro Power Words Ylem
Pallyguy: Woah, no necro here suh!
Somedood: (ITS NOT NECRO ITS MY BRAND NEW THING ARGH STOP GODMETAMODEGAMING)
Pallyguy: Okay then ... Carry on with 'creativity'. I'll be over here now...
The point of that sarcasm is this: when you are 'creative' and twist a game mechanic to your own ends, even if its something 'brand new' or 'creative', you are very likely stepping on past or present lore/mechanics that are either community or Ultima. This makes it very confusing for people who are operating on the old lore/mechanics; you are essentially demanding that they adapt to your 'new thing' even if they didn't agree to it or don't accept it. You are creating a brand new mechanics that does not exist; in this instance, the fine line between godmoding and something enjoyable for other roleplayers around you is how well it is done. Not how well YOU think or feel you did, but how well it is recieved. Many 'new systems' are steamrolled in by people who have an idea and act on it immediately instead of gathering opinions and formulating a nice system for it.

I hope this doesn't sound harsh, but YOU are the new kid on the Atlantic block. Listening is the only way you'll learn, and you can only listen when you aern't speaking. Your posts basically look like this to me: "Well, I know more about the concept you guys based your lore on, so I know more about your lore than you do."
So, learn, and learn how I just said you learn best. Stop blabbin' and listen. |

This is a topic that needs to be discussed, if Cap or Giovanni want to learn about the evil RP history on the server they can come to us for help. As well if you want to continue the discussion, please make a new thread doing so. I've cooled off, and I want to help teach the history. Just please don't disregard what we have spent a lot of time establishing and RPing.
On topic, I like the lizard character better than the crab one. The crab was just over-the-top, the lizard seems more grounded in his past and uses it to guide what he wants to do with his life. |

Kuja was very on topic, while it's true Necromancy has words of power, if you were to set all your macros to also have a "say" and put in new words, however, the fact that you HAVE necromancy is what excludes you from Sanctus, we're have a 100% no tolerance policy, and UO.com would show we had necro in our guild. I am sorry Lizard man, [can't spell your name]
