A neatly dressed man approaches a podium, tapping a stiletto dagger against it once to call attention with an echoing crack against the fine oak wood. As he does so, it can be noted he is wearing a white Comedy mask.
"Now now nobles, take your noses from your reading long enough to listen. You have received letters I see, now, for the sake of the meaning of an otherwise mundane parchment allow me to point out some very strange parallels! I am distributing reading with underlined points of interest, take a moment to look over them now! hurry hurry now we don't have all day."
The man seems to compose himself like a teacher, if not sarcastically.
Quote: | A rather mundane messenger arrives at each of the following recipient's
estates.
The Lord Regent Adrien Garnier.
The Grand Duchess Lady Molly Khaldell.
His Majesty King Talon Skyfire of Sanctus.
Lady Ivory Thorne of Sanctus.
The Matriarch Ceinwyn Ab'Arawn
The Matriarch Merci D'rue of Umbra.
The Warmaster Myrddin Ab'Arawn of Umbra.
His Majesty King Sid of Yew.
Lord Cear Dallben of Blackrock Settlement.
Lady Narcissa Trumain of Blackrock Settlement.
Lady Empress Rryn Anari.
Lord Magnate Isk of Magencia.
Mayor Lily Prower of Trisic.
Sir Robert of Trinsic of Trisic.
Lord Fong of Moonglow.
Lord Greypawn of Moonglow.
Lord Thraxanduril, Archon of Alderglen.
As the portal to the current contact's household closes, a book with no markings in a deep burgundy red tome hopefully finds it's way to the intended target. either delivered by servant or found in hand, if the book is opened, a letter with Tyrian Purple outlining and a seal of Tyrian hued wax containing the symbol "♠" flutters to the floor, almost certainly causing the Noble to lean down and retrieve the defiant correspondence. After unfolding, it would read...
Quote: | Dear [personally addressed to the recipient's],
You have been cordially invited to an impromptu meeting of the land's Bourgeoisie. Our soirée shall occur at 10 o'clock by the Eastern Sun. Being that the party is to be masked, we have left you to wonder just who is hosting your evening. A mage shall be providing gates to all whom attend. A second letter shall be sent with a menu and further information. I do hope this letter finds you in good health and wealth, take care, Sossoria Prevails.
*instead of a signature a Black,Tan, and Tyrian Purple Bumble-bee is emblazon across the bottom of the parchment* |
Those inquisitive souls whom aren't distracted by the news would find the book to be Lord Blackthorne's "A Political Call to Anarchy" |
"Now, let me lecture you for abit."
Mundane-Seems oddly close to Mondain doesn't it?
estates-The writer is oddly presumptuous, this has duel symbolism.
One, the writer is assuming you are rich enough to own an estate, the estates are the French social classes, explained in depth later.
Lord Regent, along with other tittles-The writer almost explicitly labels the attendees as noble.
target-Used as if the letter were intended to be received by a
threat.
Servant-The writer assumes the corespondent is rich enough to have Servants.
Tyrian-IE Royal purple, as if trying to convey a royal statures. Persian empires were the origin for the Royal Purple.
Flutters to the...-The sender seems to have almost engineered the letter to cause the recipient to bow to them, or make their servant retrieve the item.
Personally addressed..-The letter is instantly made personal.
Bourgeoisie-The French third estate or noble. Also used in the Communist Manifesto to identify the enemy of the people. Also, ties in the to use of the word "Estate" instead of house or land.
soirée-Further tie in with the use of French words.[see above]
Masked-The writer intends the party to have a facade to it. It also seems as if the writer has EXPLICITLY made the event noble, almost satirically so. [think Great Gatsby on this one]
Black, Tan-Irish Tie in, the paramilitary organization known for killing civilians, also, the mixing of black and light bears like the mixing of noble and peasant of different types of people? Also a controversial flavor of Ben and Jerry's!!
Bumble-bee-Alright, this get's complicated..The Bumble-bee is considered a miracle, because it is capable of flight, even though physically it should not be, IE, defiant. Secondly, when presented with the threat of a Wasp attack [White Anglo Saxon Person, slang termed by lower class to describe nobles hint hint] Bee's swarm one [many to one, peasant to noble?] and vibrate their wings, generating a temperature 5 degrees higher than the Wasp can stand, though the Bumble-Bee can withstand, IE, a hardened worker [peasant] taking down an invader that profits from the pain of others [wasp's eat the young of the bumble bee to survive, also a connection to "A Modest Proposal" A satirical pamphlet about rich land owners eating the poor's babies!]
whom aren't-Assumes the recipient instantly loses their concentration at the drop of a guiled hat! DIRECT insult to nobility.
A Political Call to Anarchy-The CEMENT proof of the letter's TRUE intentions.
" And with that class," the man is suddenly wearing the tragedy mask, "I wish you the greatest of luck, then again, never look a gift horse in the mouth."
The man exits, leaving you and your peers to sit and mull over the symbolism of a simple one page letter. _________________ Work in Progress.
