The Moonglow Conspiracy?
Is there a link between Moonglow, Chancellor Fong, Vampires and the Shadowlords?
The Britannian-Protectorate wishes to report a disturbing chain of events which peaked during the Governor-Regent’s peace rally in Britain-Proper revealing what seems to be a possible link between The Moonglow Town Council, and the Daemon Invasion of Nujel’m and other major cities.
Point I: The Moonglow Town Council arrives at the Britain Peace-Rally, along with a large number of Vampires, and other undead claiming that they are defending, as they speak, Nujel’m from a Daemon Invasion despite the fact most of their forces are most obviously amassed outside Castle British.
Point II: After being informed none within the throne-chamber are armed, the Town-Council along with their Vampire allies storm in anyway, violently assaulting diplomats, dignitaries and citizens, citing their effort to “liberate” Britain from Tyranny. This incapacitates a large number of Protectorate leadership, all Generals included halting the Governor-Regent’s immediate orders (given in the presence of Fong) that Protectorate forces amass in Nujel’m.
Point III: Governor-Regent Garnier, bloody and unconscious is quickly rushed to Magincia by General Walter of Magincia as well as Duchess and Duke Kahldel for immediate medical treatment of his illness and wounds. The four are followed by Vaen Swiftar, Spawn Skyfire and several others who demand the Regent’s limp body be handed over to them, and threaten his three unarmed caretakers with death. While General Walter and Duke and Duchess Kahldel demand they be taken into custody or killed as well before releasing the Regent alone, Lord Garnier orders them to stand down, and simply states ”The needs of the many out weight the needs of the few.” before stumbling into a moongate at Vaen Swiftar’s command.
Point IV: The nearly dead Governor-Regent is man-handled, abused and assaulted by Moonglow and Vampire troops, before being thrown in a bone-filled cell, refused medical treatment and threatened by Vampires, as Moonglow forces withdraw.
Point V: The Governor-Regent is dumped in the Magincia ruins, and goes instantly to Nujel’m to join with Protectorate forces fighting off Daemon-Invasion. He is dragged, against his will to the Protectorate base camp, where his injuries are finally tended to and he is sedated.
Point VI: Moonglow along with it’s Vampire allies, claims it will liberate the world from Tyranny, warns that it will force Protectorate troops out of Nujel’m as Shadow Lord forces advance on Serpent’s Hold and Nujel’m proper.
It has long since been rumored by those close to Chancellor Fong his mind has been afflicted with Blackrock poisoning, is it possible that the recent open alliance between Moonglow and the undead as well as their strategic attack of unarmed Protectorate leaders, in effect greatly reducing the response time to Nujel’m’s daemonic assault coincidence? Is it also coincidence that after years of seeming neutrality Moonglow, once time allies of the Daemon-Knight Tarothin Armunn, decide to launch a full-scale invasion on Lord British’s government in conjunction with a major assault on more then four cities by undead, and the dreaded forces of pure evil that spewed from the rift?
In the words of our Governor-Regent, may the virtues sustain us indeed! |

*The town crier in moonglow receives the BBN news story and smiles, anothe victory for Verity. While she passes on the first offical word from the protectorate she changes only one thing.
In the Words of Greypawn, even when all before you has been washed away, it shall be moonglow which endures
And as the people of verity pass by and hear the news, they seem almost more upbeat then usual and continue on, trusting in the council to protect and guide them. _________________ It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds. - Samuel Adams |
