the funeral was private as aulbrey eyes begin to swell up with tears of what some would think of as sorrow but no one really knows what was going on inside her head. looking down at the coffin she couldnt help but wonder why it was a closed casket. she knelt down beside it and took a deep breath as she slowly began to open it.
as the lid slowly opened the sound of squeeky old nails began to echo through the stone walls. beneath the lid a light began to pierce the darkness of the tavern. aulbrey heard a small voice in her head "dont do it you will regret it" shaking her head she continued to pull at the lid of the coffin. the voice in her head grew louder and she felt a force pulling at her as if to warn her. aulbrey fought threw it all and with the remainder of her strength she pulled back. as the lid went flying across the room as if a outside force was guiding it. clouds of dust began to choke aulbrey. she quickly covered her face and waited for the air to clear. after a few moments the room was again clear and aulbrey leaned forward. looking into the coffin she realized that she was looking not at a friend nor a foe but she was looking at.......
aulbrey awoke from her slumber at the bar. her face had the imprint of the shoe she used as a pillow. out of breath and full of fear aulbrey quickly gathered her things and went rushing home. the whole time she kept repeating to herself "i must find it"......."the goblet must be found".
running towards her home near empath abbey aulbrey fell unconcious yet again. this time she dreamed of a stag running through the forest. it was unusual in color and upon it head was a white light shining brightly as aulbrey proceeded to run after it in the dream it vanished.
aulbrey slowly opened her eyes, looking to the ceiling she could tell she was home or atleast it felt like home to her. |
