Within the palatial comforts of Whitehall, Thrax mused over recent developments. Since his exit from Yew politics, things had gone much smoother for him, the setback of the opening of the Academy notwithstanding. He was glad to be out of that mess, realizing what a complete waste of his time, energies, and funds it was to have tried currying the favor of a fickle peasant folk. Let King Sid enjoy his reign over them!

His neutrality in the political scene was only a marriage of convenience. Having seen that declaring his disavowal of both the Regency and the Protectorate failed to win over the people of Yew, and since he had discarded all desire to curry their favor, he was now free to pursue his own mind and way in things as he liked it. And he was a devoted Loyalist. With that in mind, he decided to pen a letter to Regent Ramses...

"Noble Regent,

Greetings,

I pray you and yours are in good health. I understand that all is well within the Regency, and that suits me. It is good to know that no one person is absolutely vital to its continuance. That will ensure its longevity, and I am thankful for that prospect.

Since I am no longer active in Yew politics, having my own "space" to govern, I hereby submit this letter as a formal petition to be reinstated into the Regency as a Loyalist. I ask for nothing more. However, if it is your and the Council's desire that I assume some useful role, I would gladly do so.

I will once more do my utmost to attend meetings of the Regency regardless, as my interest in proceedings and zeal to aid the cause remains unabated.
