The candle flickered in the light ocean breeze as Fong stepped into the night. The Moon was passing over and The chime from the clock striking midnight still rang in his head. Pausing a moment, he gazed upward and let himself drift back into events of the past.

Fong sat and listened carefully to Greypawn as he recounted his vision, a series of horrifying images ran through Fong’s head as the tale unfolded. Once Greypawn was finished, he showed Fong a map, large X’s marking some of the buildings. the largest X was over the bank, this image stayed with Fong ever since that time.

The fog of memory begins to clear slightly as time progresses. He finds himself only two weeks behind the present time, Sitting on the Porch with Rhiannon. They spoke of Another vision Greypawn had. Much the same as the last, however this time, it was voiced to more then just the ears of Fong. They began speaking of plans for evacuation and rally points incase something horrible went wrong.

Fong walked slowly to town, enjoying the peace and serenity of Verity in the evening. Once he entered the town gate, a scribe ran to him and passed off a scroll. This would be the beginning of the end of his serenity.

Moonglow Town Council,
First allow me to Thank you on behalf of Kronos. Allowing the construction of the detector In your town was an amazing way to help both of our causes. Second, allow me to give you an update on its progress…The construction is in its final Phases and we are scheduled to begin its testing on Friday. Kronos is hoping to be their for its first run, however we request the utmost security, which we know the council can provide.

Again, Thank you on behalf of Kronos, and all who will find aid in the wonderful invention!

Wexton,

Another concern…sighing to himself he made his rounds about town, pleading to the gods that nothing else come from this evening. As he turned the corner to the tailor shop, he was stopped by a small group of gawkiers standing around Inu, The crazed soothsayer. She was speaking nonsense and jabbering on, Fong dismissed the group and listened to her babblings for a few moments. After having Vaen translate some of the pigcommen, Fong knew Moonglows fortitude would be tested. There would be no time to study.

Fong kicked a pot of soil over as he entered his office. I can't believe Yolen and Greypawn would ask the Royal council for assistance. fong said to himself. Spitting on the floor in anger, thoughts continue to race through his head. He slowly drifted away into a daydream.
He watched as the Regent and his legions stormed into Moonglow, battling back an onslaught of enemy advancements. Once the hard fought battle was over, they began to slaughter and kill the towns people. Claiming all of Verity in the name of a lost king.

The evacuation has begun sir, we are moving all of the shopkeeps and townfolk into the Lyceaum. The voice shattered through Fongs thoughts and brought him back to reality. oh? Excellent, keep me posted Aless. Fong rubbed his face as she exited the office. He would be going without sleep for the next few weeks, he could feel it. He slowly got up and retrieved a stack of scrolls from a chest. He quickly wrote each of the council. Stopping for a moment as he signed the last one, he decided he would hand deliever each.

Conspiracy to Commit treason against the Sovereignty of Moonglow. The words flowed through Fong like a drink of liquor on a cold snowy night. A boiling rage grew in his heart.Corruption, from outside influences… He knew it was time. He gathered the Council and they began a debate which would change the course of Moonglow history forever. As he walked away from the Meeting, he greeted a few of the stragglers from the foiled testing of the blackrock detector….Yet another problem on his already burdened shoulders. Finally arriving back at home, Fong slowly drifted to sleep in a chair while waiting for Rhiannon to return for the evening.
