It has come to my awareness that photobucket accounts are not safe from lurking eyes. Please be careful when hosting your personal pictures along with signatures, because apparantly photobucket can easily be hacked into and has been done recently by an unamed individual.

Consider this a public service announcement. If anyone wants further information, they are free to contact me via PM or ICQ.

Photobuckets need to be set on Private, this can be done by going to "Account Options" then "Edit my Album Settings" then set your album from "Public" to "private". You can optionally use a guest password, however thats probably not recommended for security.

This allows you to link images still, however the directory of your album isn't viewable.

Albums being viewable isn't a hack or bug, that's how photobucket intended their service to work. To disable index viewing, the above needs to be done to make the album private via password.

For example, my album: http://s176.photobucket.com/albums/w193/HalisterMarner/

Is set on private, and will prompt for a password when you try to enter it.

Thanks for the warning.

Photobucket is owned by Newscorp now, same company that owns MySpace(HaxSpace). This was expected.
