Merrique,

My supplies are running low, if you could please speak to your supplier for me I would be greatful. When you have what I desire send word and we will meet at your convenience.

I also want to congratulate you on your new addition. Hopefully he was born healthy and with a strong mind. I am eager to see how he will fare in the training process.

I eagerly await your reply.

Your sister in darkness,
Audrina

Merrique received the letter and sat to read it when a few quiet moments occurred, and carefully penned the following response.

Dearest Lady Audrina,

The contact has been made, and I will travel this evening to my source once Walter has come home. With that said, we can meet when you've got the time.

Shalcross was born healthy and indeed strong. It was strange, as I found myself unexpectedly stranded far from Umbra and unable to call for assistance. The gods were kind enough to see us both through the experience without problems. Yesterday I went to visit with a seer I know and she told me that it is not our son's destiny to pick up the blade. Perhaps he will be of the arcane sort. I suppose some things are out of my hands.

I trust and hope that you and your family are well. Until we meet, I remain

Yours in darkness,
Merrique

Merrique,

I am available this evening and would enjoy your company. Send word on when you expect to be arriving and I will put on a pot of tea.

Merrique had received the note from Audrina and was thrilled at the idea of tea with a fellow Umbran. She set about busying herself working about the property she had purchased and after a while, the baby cried for his feeding. This done, mother and child napped together. It was not until the small hours of the deepest night that Merrique awoke, dismayed at having missed her time with Audrina. Quickly she penned a note and scooped up Shalcross and went in search of a messenger available at such an odd time of day.

My dearest Lady Audrina,
I regret having missed you. I fell asleep with the baby and did not wake until very late. I do hope you hold me no ill will, as you've given birth to your beautiful children and surely understand the demands and fatigue they place upon their mamas! If you find it in your heart to set another time for tea, I would be deeply grateful. May the darkness bless you always,

Merrique

Merrique,

Just let me know when you are available. Please leave the baby with Walter, we both know how I get around screaming children.
