I hate aol/aim on principle.... I hate icq on fatual-based-fictional data I came up with one time out in 'Nam. Charlie was all around... and I could sense that horse-like, but actually unicorn-esque apple breath....

ICQ is the suxxor. It is also, unfortunately, what most of the community uses, which is the only reason I use it.
The latest version of ICQ 6 sucks up system resources almost as bad as UO.
Out of curiousity, what messenger would everyone else prefer? Maybe we could do a massive shift someday. |

I like ICQ I know a lot of gamers use x-fire, but I don't know what the benefits of it is... _________________ Ken: I don't put anything in my mouth I don't intend on swallowing...

When I left UO and went to WoW, I found that a lot of the people preferred MSN or AIM over ICQ. Finding someone that I knew that used ICQ was rare.. I had never really used the two, so I had to go download them. I just use trillian though since I have all 3 going and it saves me from having to have all three programs on my computer. But I think I like MSN more, dunno. |

Actually, not really. It's rarely used from what I've seen/heard. Even after it was implemented, it was buggy as hell and people still decided to use their own personal Vent/TS servers. At least it was on my server, I can't speak for others. |

We use it all the time and it works rather well, I've never had an issue. The IG friends list is also a great feature of WoW as well. Now if only there was RP there. _________________ "The ability to speak does not make you intelligent."

I love the IG friends feature, I keep wishing that UO had it since I've been back.. And I usually was able to find RP on my first.. no second server. Granted it lacked at times, but I went there with some people from ARPC and one of them being Alurion/Aaron who just made the RP fantastic! |

The IG friend feature would be great in UO, I may get with you about that as I am working on a another story for stratics about what the players would like to see.
There is also a program that incorporates, AIM, ICQ, MSN messenger and Yahoo into one. I honestly never got it to work right, but a lot of players do use it. It's called Trillian. _________________ "The ability to speak does not make you intelligent."

If it angles a little to the left naturally, lean right to compensate.
