My dear friend Aless,

It has been some time since I have had the pleasure of visiting with you. Much has happened since last we spoke. Life's circumstances have been somewhat unkind since my departure, and upon returning I find I am in great need of a friend to aid me in a matter of great importance that would allow my heart to heal from suffering. I would be honored if you would allow some time for an afternoons cup of tea and conversation.
I look forward to seeing you once again and I am certain it would allow me to indulge in a smile of warmth seeing your shining face again.
Your friend,
Bri

After the last word was written she sent the letter on its way by pigeon and then sat back contemplating.
She would have to be cautious in her travels to her friends house for she could not wear her disguise. She wanted no one to know of her disguise or at least what it looked like. It would change a slip of the tongue and she did not want that. Nodding to herself she went about her work for the day.

Bri,

What a shock and surprise to get a letter from you. Both pleasant, let me assure you! I was hoping that you would send word once you were settled, but to know you have returned is far better. I would love nothing more than to have a nice and quiet chat over a cup of tea, but perhaps we should meet in Vesper, with the recent developments, Cove is not as safe as it once was, and I would hate for something to happen to you. Perhaps Vesper would be better, with it now being under the protection of the Northland Republic, I can speak to someone to make sure the area I am thinking of would be properly guarded.

As I have told you before and will tell you yet again, friends are never seperated by time nor space, they simply need to speak louder so they can hear. I have missed you terribly and look forward to seeing you in the near future. Please send word as to a day that would be best for you.

Always,
Alessandra

Bri smiled widely reading her friends response. She could feel some of the loneliness begin to fade even just reading her letter. It had been too long since Bri had had someone to trust in again. She knew now she had made a mistake by closing out the world and those she loved. Things would have been easier to bear had she allowed herself to lean on her friends… but she was a stubborn woman to be sure.
Thinking of the consequences of meeting her in Vesper she decided it was time to stop hiding and face her life as she should live it…. Alive and full. This sneaking around only isolated her even more and she needed to pull her head back up and stop hiding from life. She was a strong woman afraid of very little except matters of the heart, but she could no longer allow that fear to suffocate the rest of her existence.
Taking pen in hand she wrote a small response back to her friend.

Aless,

I look very much forward to meeting with you. Vesper is a fine place to meet as I know it well. If you are available in two days time that would allow time for some things I need to take care of.
Until then my friend, be safe
Your friend
Bri

After sending the letter Bri went to her room to gather her disguise. It was time.

Bri,

I will speak to the innkeeper in Vesper and tell her that a dear friend of mine will be arriving in two days time and there will be a room there waiting you. I will also ask Beowulf to make sure that there are extra guards posted around Vesper during the next several days. Have word sent when you arrive in Vesper, and I will be there as quickly as I can say the words Kal Ort Por.

Aless
