Cinnamara tossed and turned in her sleep. Nightmares plagued her, and she found herself shocked awake, finding herself screaming in her sleep.

Her little boy... turning into a foul beast...a wolf...

At that moment, she came to the sad reality. He'd been bitten... Dragan... Tears rolled down her cheeks, as she rolled over, looking at Caia and Davaran as they slept. She hadn't woken them. She slipped from her bed, tiptoeing from the room.

Creeping to the teleporter, she moved up the set of stairs to the floor with the children's rooms. She slumped down against Dragan's door, listening to the growling within.. She had locked it, he couldn't get out.. And that was probably making him even angrier..

She rested her head against her knees, tears streaming down her face. The worst of outcomes were running through her mind.

Let there be a cure... By the virtues..Let there be a cure..

Dav sleep was shallow, plagued with the dream that he'd had so many times, watching a single dragon call out in pain as it's wings were stripped by an unseen force. Dav awoke violently, his shimmering eyes wide, his brow drenched in a cold sweat. There was a grimness in his mind that was slowly seeping into every aspect of Davaran's thoughts. Slipping out of bed he noted Cinna was missing, but Caia was snuggled under the covers, drooling all over her stuffed polar bear. A small smile crept across a face distraught with worry and doubt.

Dav made his way to his book shelf, thumbing through the worn spines, all seemingly random in placement. One spin was more worn than almost all of the tomes, what used to be a bright brilliant white had faded into a near black, small splotches of what could be long dry blood spattered it here and there. The words crept slowly through the home "Virtue..." Many times in the past this book had brought comfort to the mage that now held it, but this time..this time a different though filled the inky darkness...

"I have given my life to server these ideals..I have lost children...wives...friends...you have even seen it fit to take my best horse...now you will claim my son? I assure you..whomever is out there watching me..I have served you valiantly, and you have rewarded me..only to tear what I hold dear from my hands.."

The book snapped shut, as if it's presence had somehow relayed the message, as is a custom with the owner of the book, he analyzed the statement...was he being melodramatic, or had he truly fallen to the end of his faith...the later rang true, but even in the darkest moment..Davaran held hope..the fleeting hope that perhaps there was a greater right in the world.

Davaran turned and made his way to the second floor to comfort his wife.

Sleep didn't find her that night. She sat against Dragan's door. The growling stopped sometime in the night. It must have been a nightmare, or some manifestation of the sort. She bit her bottom lip, leaning her head back against the door.

It had definitely been a long night. Yet, she had no inspiration to wander back downstairs to bed. She heard footsteps. Too heavy to be Caia... Davaran must be up. As he started up the stairs, she stood slowly, folding her arms over her chest.
