There were many clans of Lycans, Merci new that many Lycans had become less hidden and more seen within Sosaria. This boded well for her. However no two clans were alike each had its own distinctly different ways.

For example, some roamed freely depending on moon cycles for sanity. Others, such as herself depended upon the work of a good alchemist to afford her this. Many did not know how it was necessary for Merci to wake up each day and drink the bitter liquid that gave her clarity and peace of mind. It was true in moments of great rage she lost a bit of control and claws would shape her hands, her face would change. Yet for the most part Merci kept rational thoughts as her guide.

As she had lived now a few years with what she considered *A gift* she had grown better at comboing a potion of supression with that of her own mental will and control. As much as the wild strength of a frenzied Lycan was useful in battle, she would settle for a bit less of that and more mental clarity. Some days, the battle was harder than others.

Myrddin and she were very much alike, they were a clan of sorts their families considered part of such and they were small within the larger picture of Umbra. Merci had no qualms with other beings, Vampires, Undead, even the normal human or elf that enjoyed the ways of Umbra. She considered herself and them one all flying under the banner of Umbra. Holding its traditions as their own.

Never would she turn her face away from a fellow Umbran because they did not beleive in her Lycan beleifs. That is not to say she did not want to learn more of her Clan of old, and give it life again, history reborn once more. So she sought in her very few off moments more knowledge of its roots.

Yet let it be said that Myrddin and she had made one pact clear, the random biting of unknown individuals, ones that were not worthy or did not want the gift of Lycanthropy was forbidden between them. At all costs they did not seek to bring those who did not wish it the *gift*. Nor did they wish to spread it upon the whole of Sosaria where it would quickly be cheapened and called a plague of sorts. Merci held herself and this gift in to high esteem to let it be thrown about like a worthless affliction.
