She sits at her desk wondering how to ask the Governor-Regent for an interview. She had promised her new boss, Isk, that she would secure the interview. She takes quill in hand and begins to write. She crumples up the first four tries and she decides to just write a simple letter.
Your Majesty, Governor-Regent Garnier,
Let me introduce myself. I am Devin Allison, a new reporter for the Humanis Voice. Lord Isk has asked me to request an interview with your Majesty if you would honor me with a time and day when we can talk I would be most pleased.
Your humble servant,
Devin Allison
Reporter
Humanis Voice
She takes a deep breath, rolls up the parchment and slips a golden ring around it, sealing it with the family crest. She calls for a messenger and tells him to take the parchment to the Palace in Nu'Jelm. He nods, bows and leaves her to her thoughts. _________________ The truth will be told.

Miss Allison
I would be delighted to be subject to an interview for the auspicious Humanis Voice. This Thursday eve perhaps?
Lord Adrien Garnier,
Governor-Regent of Britannia |

The messenger arrived at her door and she feared he had not been able to find the palace as he had returned so quickly. He smiled up at her and extended an elegant scroll with the official Protectorate seal on it. Her hands were shaking so badly she almost dropped it as she looked at the young man. He asked her if she was alright and she grinned from ear to ear. Her reply was one word. Ecstatic! she said as she bid him come in and wait for her answer.
She unrolled the parchment and was quite amazed with the handwriting of the message. She wondered if he wrote it himself or had a scribe do it. The swirls of the letters were precise and very well made. And his signature was quite impressive as well; strong but beautiful.
She sat at her desk and quilled a quick response.
Your Gracious Magesty,
Your generosity in allowing me time in your busy day is most gratifying. Thursday eve will be perfect. I will come to the Palace at nine hours past noon. I very much look forward to our meeting.
Your Humble Servant,
Devin Allison
Reporter, Humanis Voice
She then quickly wrote a note to Lord Isk.
Honorable Lord Isk,
I have acquired a day and time for the interview I promised you with the Governor-Regent Garnier. I am most grateful for the opportunity to interview such a great man on my first assignment to the Humanis Voice. I will do my very best to present you with a worthy article and hope to bring your more in the future of equal import.
Yours sincerely,
Devin Allison
Reporter, Humanis Voice
She rolled up both scrolls and using two more gold rings and sealing both with the family crest she motioned the messenger in.
She gave him enough gold for three days passage though it would not take him that long and sent him to the kitchen to get rations for the trip. He returned with a mouthful of something that has a lot of icing on it and he grinned at her as he headed out the door with his bundles.
As he rode off she leaned against the door jam wondering if she was up to the task. This was the biggest assignment she had ever had. She smiled, pleased with the prospect but she still had butterflies in her stomach in anticipation of this great task before her. _________________ The truth will be told.

Isk stood at the Magincian docks surveying the repairs of his pride ship 'The Legacy' while reading the missive Devin had sent him.
"Come here" Isk said to one of the sailors who promptly came to stand at the Magnate's side.
"Turn around" the porcelain masked chancellor ordered as he turned Devin's letter over and set it to the man's back. Taking out a pen Isk wrote out the following message on the reverse side:
Devin Allison
It pleases me that you have secured this interview. I leave it up to you to create and present pressing questions. I am certain that you will not disappoint.
On a different note, try to procure an interview with Tarothin... but be careful. He tends to kill messengers.

Reading the request her eyes widen. She wonders if she will survive that interview. She contemplates how to deliver the request. _________________ The truth will be told.
